Introduction
The Indigenous people knew how to manage land and how to take care of the environment. They always have had a deep connection with their land that they still hold today. The Indigenous people usually got by without much to help them be sustainable. They never took more than they needed. Through the years they learned how to work with what the environment produced.

The Indigenous people knew how to manage their land and take care of it. Indigenous people have been able to protect their land for over 40,000 years. The NAILSMA, which stands for the North Australia Indigenous Land and Sea Management Alliance. They are part of programs like carbon, Indigenous knowledge, I-track program, livelihood, North Australian Indigenous experts, saltwater people network, water source management and youth leadership. This organisation stated that their establishment is a combination of strength for Indigenous knowledge and culture also an interconnection with contemporary science. These programs are all about looking after their country, their way. The ILC, which stands for the Indigenous Land Corporation. They contribute to programs like land acquisition and land management. They focus more on being able to access and protect the culture and environmental values of indigenous people and their land. They are also determined to focus on the socio-economic development. The Indigenous Land Corporation help Indigenous landholders be able to keep their land managable and sustainable. The kinds of land programs they run are small land management programs. For example like the development of property management plants, buying plants and equipment or developing infrastructure to be able to assist in viable enterprises on indigenous- held land. Through all the knowledge about how to be sustainable from the Indigenous people, the potential benefit are knowing about how to stay economically, socially and environmentally stable. Traditional methods are methods that have been used for many years by the Indigenous people for example like how the Indigenous people managed their housing due to climate change and how they incorpated fire techniques to keep warm. A traditional Indigenous method that is being used now to prevent food from being wasted or lost is through UNEP Corporation. They are intent on sharing their knowledge on how Indigenous people use traditional ways to mange and preserve their food for our present society to use. Using modern techniques is another way to mange land. Modern techniques are used to care for land for example like the rangers. They are still using both traditional and modern techniques while incorporating modern technologies and land management practices. The methods that have been used will help us in knowing how to manage land and to know how to deal with challenges in regards to less soil and climate change etc. As a society using these traditional and modern methods that will help decrease challenges. Some of the potential impacts to Australia’s sustainability if nothing is being done is that our society will not be as sustainable as it could be. Environmentally it will impact us because if problems occur in terms of farming, crops and other environmental factors then people won’t have access to food, water and other resources they need.
