In my life, sometimes I am idealistic or pragmatist or opportunists too, as these things have their own importance in my life. For example, if have set a goal in my life first I need to be idealistic so that I can pursue my aim in my life without ignoring the ethics and moral values of my life, but later I need to be pragmatist to attain my objective but if along with this ...

A successful person will always promote the taking of risks because a lot of times the best things in life happen when we feel scared and vulnerable. When risks are involved there is a great probability of failure. Failure is not necessarily a bad thing. Failures serve as learning experiences. Experiences where you can dissect what worked and what didn't work. But Gawande explains how, "the only failure is the failure to rescue something." He explains how risks are essential, but at the same time risks must be taken with a careful eye. The careful eye being that one must be able to distinguish when something has gone array and being able to control the situation. If you take a risk and things do not go as planned, this doesn't mean it’s a failure just yet. You must be able to adjust and attempt to rescue it. I took the risk of cheating. This does not mean it’s a failure just yet. I've become aware that things have not gone as planned. I have acknowledge that there is a problem. My job now is to change my current situation and attempt to rescue it. My situation should only be considered a failure, if and only if, I am unable to rescue and change my cheating
Everyone has taken risks whether they be big or not, they will lead you down the path you choose in life. In the short stories Beowulf, Black Heart, and The Deep taking risks was a big part in all three. In Beowulf, there is many risks that he took, but the main one was that he risked his life to save the people that he loved. In the second book Black Heart by Mark Brazaitis, the girl risked her life to make friends with something she knew could kill her because she was so lonely. In the final book, The Deep by Anthony Doerr the main character made risks every day because he never knew if he was going to wake up to see the next.
Taking a risk is something very few people are willing to do. If you think about it all the greats had to take a risk before they succeed in anything. In The Odyssey, Odysseus takes a huge risk fighting in wars, trying to get back to his beloved Penelope. Much like Vincent Willem van Gogh , A painter, who took huge risks living off of his art, but now he is One of the greatest painters of all times. They both risked their lives to succeed in something great.Van Gogh could have gone broke and starved to death Odysseus could have died at sea or in war. People take risks every time they get up and present a paper or show people there art work. You could mess up, but you also could succeed. This quote from book twelve, “ But as I sent them on toward
Ethics is an important proponent when considering any decision. Knowing the difference between right and wrong is something everyone should know. However, the importance of ethics gets minimized when a decision that seems wrong actually has benefits. In the efforts of improving society, often ethics is violated. Sometimes in order for society to be better off as a whole, there has to be little sacrificing of ethical practices along the way to do so.
Ethics is a doing and learning experience which causes us as humans to keep an open mind to change. Generally, ethics ask us to live mindfully, to think how we act and even how we feel or do things, which can change the outcome. Sometimes we go down certain roads, which may be harder or make things more complicated or complex instead of making an easier option we just take the easier way out, usually the way that calls for
Understanding of ethics and the consequences of not following the principles laid out by the code of ethics can be very hazardous to a person or to a community as a whole.
Department of health (2007) say that there are 3 types of risk assessment:the unstructured clinical approach, the actuarial approach and the structured clinical approach (DOH 2007). Many Mental health Professionals over the past years have used the unstructured clinical approach to risk assess. This is based on your experience and judgement to assess the risk. However this way has been criticized for not being structured and this then leads to inconsistency and to be unreliable (Turner and Tummy 2008). This approach would not be useful for the case with Julie as she is not known to services and every person is different as you may not have seen her symptoms before if you base the risk assessment on experience.
Sanctity is an important word. (“ Sanctity: (2) ultimate importance and inviolability.”) It literally means important, but the word sanctity has no true meaning alone. Actually, so does humanity.
Many ethical dilemmas are philosophical in nature, an ethical issue can be described as a problem with no clear resolution. In order to solve the issue or dilemma a consensus between the parties involved must be reached. There are several reasons to come to an agreement over an ethical dilemma, it is the basis for all aspects of personal and professional dealings. Each one of us is part of a civilized society and as such it is our responsibility to be rational, honest and loyal in our dealings with others. (Alakavuklar, 2012) states that individuals make decisions for different situations in business life involving various ethical dilemmas. Most people deem that having a strong ego is a bad thing. However, I feel that my ego is the greatest asset in my personality as an optimist. There is a combination of three characteristics that make up my optimism. They are my strong determination and tenacious will power, good strong work ethic, and my positive morals as a person. The mixture of these characteristics makes my strong ego, which in turn makes me an optimistic person.
In my opinion, ethics give people free will to make right choices. People have free will to make choices that are governed with responsibility, accountability, and liability. We have a responsibility to perform in an ethical manner and be accountable for our choices or actions. Regardless of the circumstances and choices we make, there are consequences if we make the wrong choice. The question of whether an action or choice is ethical or not is fundamentally based on whether something is right or wrong. From an ethical standpoint, unethical choices and risky behavior can lead to increased liabilities. The liabilities result in the loss or damage sustained by a company or other party as result of an unethical and sometimes illegal decision. Although we exercise free will on a continuous basis, we are governed by the decisions we make and my belief is that the decisions we make daily do not just affect us. These decisions affect other people, such as family, friends, coworkers, instructors, neighbors, etc. The most prominent example of ethics can be recognized in the field of technology based on the growing amount of rapidly changing legislation and acts that under consideration in order to protect people from unethical practices.

Not every event has a guaranteed outcome- sometimes, one has to take a gamble in the game of life. There are some, however, who would prefer to travel within the safe, confined lane of actions with a definite outcome. Deciding whether or not to take risks in life can be tricky, but as Ralph Waldo Emerson once said, “Do not be too timid and squeamish about your actions. All life is an experiment.” This quote means that people should take risks in their endeavors, because life is precisely about trying new things and experiences. As the quote explains, taking risks in life is a vital step to success, fulfillment, and gaining more out of experiences.
