5th Bible Sanctity is an important word. (“ Sanctity: (2) ultimate importance and inviolability.”) It literally means important, but the word sanctity has no true meaning alone. Actually, so does humanity.
Without something beside humanity, it has no meaning. It's actually a very interesting thought process. However, this essay is going to explain and try to comprehend the meaning of the sanctity of human life as a whole and how humanity has fallen from grace and reaching for redemption. It's all so fascinating and almost incomprehensible! However, now this essay must move on to the meat of this discussion. How is the human life sanctifiable when we're so far from God? Well, here's an explanation. God has severed almost direct contact with human beings. Did you read that "almost"? Well, what that "almost" means is that we have one direct way to contact Him, and that is the Bible. The Bible, containing the beginning of creation, fall, redemption and His instructions on how to save yourself from ending up in hell. Now, if God didn't find us worth saving, would He have sent His Son to die as a way of bringing salvation to us mere "specks of stardust"? Just think about that for a second. Jesus Christ, the Son of God, part of the Trinity, and the one God gave the world over to as a gift, became mortal, defied temptation, and ended up dying in a very painful, humiliating, and shameful way, in which God had to turn away. Just try and prove that we mere humans don't matter to God if He did all of that just so we could live with Him in heaven when we die! The love He showed us through that sacrifice was great. The magnificence of human life is so transparent because it is sacred seeing that it is an act of creation. Life diverts an inimitable place in creation since it was created in the image of God. The protection of human life is the conclusive value, a support of beliefs and ethics and the basis of all morals and principles. Life should be looked upon with respect to where one is in time, because time moves on. As time moves on, one encounters the problem of which path to follow. In the stages of early life, youth are taught about the choices they should and should not make. Jesus died for our sin. He didn’t have to die for us. He could have fallen into Satan's temptations when He told Jesus He didn’t have to die. Jesus ignored Him he fought the temptations because He knew that He was born into this world to save all of us and die for us, which means that He is willing to sacrifice his own life for all of us. The Importance of Organ Donation Each day approximately 6,300 people die and what makes this haunting is that presently there are 83,513 people waiting for organs to be donated, yet each day 17 people die because they do not receive a transplant (http://www.donatelife.net/facts_stats.html). These statistics show that people who are waiting for organ transplants have a good chance at being saved and get what they need. The sad truth is though, because of the lack of people willing to donate organs, many people will continue to wait for organs to save their lives. ? Waiting lists of patients for organ transplants become longer as the need for transplantable organs increases? (Sheehy 1).
In the book One the Incarnation by Saint Athanasius it talks about why Jesus became human for our salvation. Jesus had no reason not to enter into the world as a human, because “it was right that they should be thus attributed to his as man, in order to show that his body was a real one and not merely an appearance” (Athanasius 15). Showing that it was important for Jesus to be a human and spread his knowledge among us; to help us learn and be able to teach other through oral and written tradition. It was now necessary for Jesus to come for our salvation because “had he surrendered his body to death and then raised it at once…which showed him to be not only a man, but also a God the word” (Athanasius 14). It is the loss of a pregnancy and does not refer to why that pregnancy was lost.” The act of abortion is spontaneously through a miscarriage or through therapeutic or non-therapeutic procedures. This creates the moral complexities and controversies of the mother’s decision to abort at a specific stage of embryonic development. More specifically, the three grounds for justifying the morality of abortion are “self-defense” where the mother’s health and life are at high risk, “mercy killing” where through a prenatal screening the fetus is found to have debilitating diseases or disabilities, or the “general good” which aims to control population growth and reduce the number of disabled children. For the purpose of this paper I would like to evaluate the morality of these points by utilizing the traditional Roman Catholic beliefs.
Temptation can be defined as a strong urge to do something usually bad or resulting in a harmful effect. The deeper people get into the temptation the harder it is to get out. It can be compared to digging a hole with no ladder to get out, the deeper you dig the harder it will be to get out.
