Family vacations are time we remember for the rest of our lives whether they were exciting or extremely boring. Family vacations are usually fun times spent with your family camping in the woods, skiing down a mountain, or going to the beach.
Every summer my family goes camping in Ohio. We spend the week before packing, bring things down from the attic, cleaning the house, and eating as much food from the fridge so nothing is wasted. I cannot begin to tell you just how excited we all are. I put in my request for the days off I need and am ready to start Packing!!! Not that I've never gone camping, because I practically lived in a tent for about three summers, but I have never gone camping as a mom before! Things are so very different in this stage of my life then they were before. Now I am aware that I am going to need diapers for my son, and clothes but the specifics were harder to plan for them then they are normally for just me. For me, my daughter who is four and potty trained, seems to be the lesser of the two evils so I decided to start with her. Knowing the way the weather tends to change along the great lakes I know she is going to need a full suit case! I grabbed two pair of comfy jeans, and three pair of shorts to start, a couple of tank tops, short sleeves and two sweaters! I grabbed a light sweater to keep the sun off her shoulders and a heavy one for the evenings around the fire pit! (Roasting Marshmallows is not as fun when you're cold! We are also planning on taking a trip to the lake, so I know she is going to need her suit and a towel and tennis shoes and sandals. With the main events up there including a once a year Flee Market and carnival (yes, in the middle of the woods!) I know she is going to desperately need lots of sun block, and bug spray. A Hair brush, tooth brush and lots of socks and undies, and some pull up's for bedtime and we're ready to hit the road. My little guy is a couple years younger than her and needs much more. The clothes will be packed the same way with the addition of diapers and wipes. He gets the biggest bag in the house even thought his clothes are the smallest! He gets two pair of shoes like Sissy, extra socks (on account of he likes to take them off and hide them!), little swimmers for the lake and his trunks. When I was in the seventh grade, our class went on a field trip to Cherokee, North Carolina. The trip lasted four days and three nights, but the adventure would last a lifetime. The experience allowed me to learn many things about myself and to reflect on the beauty that was all around me. We departed at six-thirty in the morning, and I was so excited. I had never been away on a school trip for longer than a few hours. I tossed my purple duffel bag into the storage compartment, found my seat by the window, and prepared for what I knew would surely be an unforgettable adventure.
My unforgettable experience is when I went to Manzanillo, Colima. I went 6 moths ago with my boyfriend, and we will never forget it because it was very exciting and we were planning this trip for a long time. We only had 2 nights and 3 days in this beautiful beach but it was enough for us to make it perfect. We spent all the time together just having relaxation time and time for each other. We frequently go to beaches, but this trip was very special.
In life, the moment we grow up is the day we start to visualize the future. Matter fact, the easiest answer to our life questions are the lessons we learned at home and the lessons we were taught as kids. Therefore as kids, we learn all of these unique different lessons from our parents or family in general. Dedicated and responsible parents or members of the family know that children are the future. A family’s job and presence is to provide children with a feeling of belonging and creativity of their identity. Families should be a source of emotional support, comfort, protection, and etc. The relationships we create and mend creates our future self mentally and emotionally. Love is a strong word that cause us to either become strong or weak as an individual. Love comes and goes, but we start to realize that only unconditional love we really need is the love from our family. A family’s love is what causes us to grow into the person we should become. The theme of family is presented in a way to build the character’s charisma and how much support becomes a lifeline.
Everyday we had to set up camp, and take it all down again in the morning. Our tents were made from heavy tarp and along with that it came with metal rods. It was not fun packing it up either. Ugh how was we supposed to hike uphill in the sweltering heat plus carrying our massive backpacks? I thought. Honestly I was complaining more than I was enjoying myself. But I didn't say anything.

Having dinner with family should be filled with face to face interaction and engaged communication. When a person is constantly texting at the dinner table it can take away from quality time with family and friends. It’s the end of July and school is getting closer and closer. My dad and I are camping at a campground in Michigan. We are camping with my cousins and their dad’s. It’s the father son campout and everyone is arriving. My Uncle Pat parks his trailer and sets it up. The rest of us set up our tents. Once we are all day we set up a canopy where we would eat food. Going on a road trip with my family means the world to me. We drove to another state during summer vacation, and it was by far the best road trip I have ever been on.
