I Liked Most Was The Raven By Edgar Allan Poe

The poem I liked most was “The Raven” by Edgar Allan Poe. I liked the raven, because it used imagery and symbolism. The speaker uses emotion to communicate with the reader. The poem makes the reader picture and have an understanding about the poem. The poem keeps the reader interested and hoping to learn about what is going to happen next. In “The Raven” there is a meaning to the poem, which makes it interesting to me. The poem I disliked most was “Daystar’ by Rita Dove. I did not like this poem, because I could not relate to it. The poem also felt meaningless to me. I could not find a theme or a message that can be learned from the poem. Unlike “The Raven”, “Daystar” was very short. I think it failed to make a connection with me as a reader.
