I believe in ladders. I believe in the American dream. The chance to recreate yourself. I believe in a place that can make any dream possible. I believe in the opportunity to improve your standing; a ladder of opportunity. I believe that anyone can be successful no matter their circumstances. I believe in our unalienable rights. The opportunity no matter your skin color, gender, age or religion to advance towards your aspirations. We are all created equal and seen equal in God’s eyes. A land where religion isn’t scrutinized, where all are permitted to practice whatever they believe. I believe in the freedom to pursue your dreams and accomplish them. The opportunity to explore new paths and to create new paths as well. I believe in a place where everyone can move ahead. Where even the poor guy has a better standing that many other countries rich. I believe in a country that will come to the rescue when others are in need. A country that people know are their only chance of freedom. I believe in a place where the struggle is more important than the destination. To work hard to earn your place. I believe in a place you can go and truly become one of the people. Not a foreigner, but someone who is equal to their neighbor. A melting pot to create the greatest society this world has and will ever know. Where differences make us better. I believe in a place that celebrates the new. I believe in a country that is self preserving.
