Why do we waste food when we don’t have much? Why do we not care when we know we should care! Life is not that easy as it seems to be, but saving little things, caring and sharing can make not only our life, but the life of others comfortable too. If we have got money, and we waste it then so many people who don’t have even enough to eat how will they survive? We should save food to save our own money, because if we save money we can help poor to eat food too. Sharing is caring. In the upcoming time so many countries of this world will become even more poor than they are today .We can do so many things to save our planet, and the first thing will be to create awareness about saving money and food. 'We know that a peaceful world cannot exist with one third rich and two thirds poor.' One day we rich ones will become the normal ones, and the low, or the normal class people will be the beggars. This is a fact that poverty is growing so fast, because of unemployment. Governments try their best to deal will poverty, but why should they alone do this? Why should they only take aids from other nations to donate it to the poor, why don’t we try? Why don’t we come forward, and say yes we have saved money and food just for the sake of our country, or just for human beings .If in every country this awareness spreads the planet will be saved. 'Hunger is not an issue of charity; it’s the issue of justice.' There are hotels in every country which throw their waste foods in bins, and that food is then littered into the backside of sea to make that water polluted! Why do we do this? We think no one is watching us. Is it just to make hotels clean we throw litter in seawater, and don’t think that sea will get polluted, and species will get harmed! W...

...s in every religion; everyone knows that God says ‘when I have given you to eat, I can take it back. When I am giving you more, don’t waste it, because it will lead you to my test.’ This is not that difficult; if we come forward, and start campaigning about food waste and dumping food, or to waste money, people will get awareness.
We should raise our voice for education of science and technology .When we know the use of technology we should know its importance .We should provide people with food as much as possible. Care is only known by those who earn money by hard work .Those who snatch money from the poor are basically known as the rich ones, but they are poor by heart. While the poor are the ones who let them have their money so they are rich by heart. For sure nothing is impossible if we make efforts we can save our planet because wasting food is wasting planet.
The majority of people waste food on a daily basis. In fact, in the U.S. alone there is an estimate that over half of the food produced goes uneaten; meanwhile there are people who are in need of food, and it ultimately goes to waste (Dockterman). For example, in his essay, “On Dumpster Diving,” author Lars Eighner writes about his experiences of dumpster diving with his pet dog, during his years of homelessness. According to Eighner, much of the food and materials he came across in the dumpsters were in usable shape, and many items were new. Clearly there needs to be a change in American food waste, in current and, hopefully not so much in, future generations. In order to bring about change in this misuse of food, Americans need to be conscious
It is difficult to understand how a country with so much wealth has fifty million people who do not know where their next meal is coming from. These people are not just the homeless; many are working class people who just do not earn enough to feed their families every day from one payday to the next. The directors present validation and ethical implications for the argument that food insecurity is not caused by a scarcity of food; it is caused by poverty and the government’s policies which are
...ade, and how it got to his or her plate. Even when people are eating healthier foods, most are still unaware of why it is important to eat organically and locally. They do not realize what a huge contribution just one person is when they eat a diet based on organic and local foods. When you put into a perspective how much money is spent on just 3 months worth of food for one person that is from global supermarkets or fast food restaurants, you realize how much damage that is to the environment by supporting foods that are unnatural, unethical, and damaging to soil. A majority of people, especially Americans, is very unaware of how this is a serious issue. By educating people and encouraging them to eat for peace instead of pleasure, slowly and hopefully the world can change into a cleaner, healthier, and safer place, in which everyone can gain awareness and happiness.
Did you have a cup of coffee today? Or maybe you went shopping for that new shirt for the summer? Your money could be going to a better cause. Of the 7.15 billion people on Earth today, approximately 2.4 billion people live on less than two dollars and day, and 1.4 billion people live on less than $1.25 a day. More than eight-hundred people go to bed hungry, and more than one million people do not have access to clean drinking water. The amazing stat is that over eighteen thousand children die per day from diseases that are preventable. Kids die from a multitude of cause such as diarrhea, malaria, malnutrition, and disease. (Abbate, Global Poverty, 2014) Each could be prevented with the money you spent on that nonessential item for yourself. Most people do not seem to do this because of the out of sight out of mind principle. Since we never get to see how our aid actually helps those across the world, individuals are less inclined to help. In his article ,“The Singer Solution to World Poverty” (Landau, 2012) Peter Singer provides a unique argument in that he believes that we are no different than a murderer because we had the capability to stop it and didn’t do so. We have the ability to give what we essentially waste to maximize the happiness of another person and reduce poverty around the world. There are many charities out there, that can take the little money that we have or need to give, and can distribute it to help a magnitude of people worldwide. In this paper, I am arguing that we should give what money we can to relief and aid organizations in order to reduce global poverty because it is our duty to maximize the happiness around us.
The decision to end world hunger is a groups effort that can provide little by little from everyone to make a difference that will be effective. “the decision and actions of human beings can prevent this suffering” (Singer 554). The action of the human race itself that re better off can save the life of many suffering that are worse off. Singer takes on the case that it should be a moral duty to help others because people often help those that are in reach to them and ignoring to sacrifice and put the effort to help those that are far of reach from them as well. Singer wants us to follow the famine relief and support those in need even if it means putting aside ours wants and benefiting to those who are suffering needs. “We would not be sacrificing anything significant if we were to continue to wear our old clothes, and give the money to famine relief. By doing so, we would be preventing another person from starving. It follows from what I have said earlier that we ought to give money away, rather than spend it on clothes which we do not need to keep us warm. To do so is not charitable or generous” (singer 557). Giving to a suffering nation should be as enjoyable or even more so than buying a new dress and just because you give it is not a generosity or charitable either because you are supporting life, which should not be an option. If it is in our will to prevent harm,
In our nature, we have the habit of throwing as much stuff possible even if it’s something that is still usable. A small imperfection makes them liable to throw it away, yet there are people out there who have nothing to eat and are constantly hunting for food, even if it isn’t a real hot meal. They just need something to fulfill their digestive need. Food should be viewed with much more value and respect rather than ignoring and throwing it as if it’s trash and not life essential. The statement we constantly hear but fail to acknowledge is that “some people have it much worse” and there are those who really do. People who don’t have a cent to their name are going through dumpsters and eating the food that you threw out. There’s a huge amount of homeless people in our nation yet our government still fails to take action. It is for this reason that I believe the community should recognize homelessness as a problem and petition government to take action against it.
...to solve world hunger, population control, pollution, resource depletion or the rising prices of commodities it’s a difficult task and it’s one which every individual on the planet must take responsibility for. We live in a world where consumer demands are growing and technology is improving and not every single person is going to cut back on their lavish lifestyles and give up their smart phones and fancy cars in order to improve the environment. Realistically what we need to do is to continue to farm, mine, improve technology and so on but do it in a responsible manner with respect to the environment and the Earth’s capacity. It won’t be an easy task but many projects have been set up to help improve the sustainability of our planet and that’s a start. As Mahatma Gandhi once said “Earth provides enough to satisfy every man’s needs, but not every man’s greed”
Hunger is the most pressing issue we face. One out of every eight people in the world today suffers from chronic undernourishment caused by food scarcity. 19,000 kids die everyday from hunger. The world has more than 1.5 times enough food to feed everyone on this entire planet although with some people making less than two dollars an hour, it is hardly imaginable to be able to. At least the number of people who die everyday of famine is going down every year because more and more people care. We want to keep this number going down not only by the year, but also by the day. If we want this to happen, we have to take action. Now.
Global poverty is an issue that must be dealt with in our world, and there are many contradicting views how we should solve the problem. Rolston argues that in theory some times we ought to put saving nature instead of feeding the hungry, however in looking at these issues in a practical setting, clearly the need to save nature and feeding people are not always directly in conflict with each other. By using methods of sustainable development, and other methods such as reducing our consumption we may in fact be able to feed people and save nature at the same time.
...at we need. Clean up the rivers and streams, lakes and oceans. Reduce the use of chemicals and pesticides. But society must do something, even if only donating money to an organization who does. Just do something to help, before even more animals disappear, before all the fish and forests are gone, before the earth has so little diversity that only humans remain.
There are many things we need to change in society to become sustainable for future generations. One thing is for certain, we all need to do our part to contribute to this effort, and there is no time like the present to change our ways.
Humans have become a threat to our own way of life by consuming more resources than needed, blind to the consequences that we may face in the future. As of 2016 the world population is at 7.4 billion and it is estimated to be at 11.2 billion by the year 2100. However 10 billion is the maximum population that can be sustained in terms of food security, only one of the many factors to global sustainability. Due to the fact that human consumption exceeds the amount of resources available, the United Nations “recognizes that eradicating poverty is the greatest global challenge” in A/RES/70/1. Sustainable development is not only required to fulfill the necessities of the present but to guarantee the capability for future generations to satisfy theirs.
One of the most complex issues in the world today concerns human population. The number of people living off the earth’s resources and stressing its ecosystem has doubled in just forty years. In 1960 there were 3 billion of us; today there are 6 billion. We have no idea what maximum number of people the earth will support. Therefore, the very first question that comes into people’s mind is that are there enough food for all of us in the future? There is no answer for that. Food shortage has become a serious problem among many countries around the world. There are many different reasons why people are starving all over the world. The lack of economic justice and water shortages are just merely two examples out of them all.
...son can make a difference, but efforts are much stronger when things are done collectively by a group, community, city or state. As mentioned earlier, one does not need to fully understand the environment, science, matter and evolution to recognize that these natural phenomena are strong and impactful on the world as we know it. Perhaps the best way to live sustainably is by living an exemplary life for others to follow. Not only do people benefit by sustainable communities and habitats, animals, plants and everything else in nature does as well. There is an old expression that states life what we make it; the same can be said about the environment, to an extent. Of course there are things out of the control of humans, but with the things that we can control, it is in the best interest of everyone and everything to be as proactive and wise with things as possible.
...as human we need to take care of it by following all the correct measurement. Maybe, the smallest action can bring huge difference to the world and help to save the ecosystem. Any extinction species can be preserved and make a plantation to help the world green. Cut off any unnecessary activities that bring damage to the surrounding. Besides, generate of energy also can be changed with alternative ways like renewable energy that must be more clean and safe. The fossil fuel source also will not remain exists and will run out someday. Take a good action and care for our world as we live on it. This because the world content all the sources we need to survive like food, water, shelter and etc. The most important thing is to start activities and usage that are environmentally friendly, for example, organic foods and materials, natural gases, less electrical use and etc.
