Before I go on to celebrate my mother and what she stood for I must share with you the reality of what life was like for my mother and the family since she was first diagnosed with cancer in October. Of course, nobody suffered more than my mother, but Dad you’re definitely second. We all shared my mother’s pain. It was like we were all on trial.
Forever will I be thankful for the love he gave me, and even more so for the family he left me with. Collectively, we have been and will be loved more than I personally could have ever asked for, by my grandfather and by each other.
I want to thank the most wonderful parents a child could ever have. Not only for the love, support and guidance over the years, but also for everything you’ve done towards today. Your massive contribution has been priceless and without you both we would have never managed and today would not have been possible or so special. Thank you Mom and Dad from the bottom of our hearts. And thank you Virginia for having such a wonderful son.
Ladies and gentlemen, it is apparently my job to do all the thankyous. The first and biggest thankyou is to all of you. Thank you all for choosing to share today with us. We are delighted and touched to see so many of you here. And thank you, of course, for all the wonderful gifts.
You came into my life and changed me forever. Over the years people have complimented me for being a good mother but I can't take credit for that. You were born good and you were the one who was often teaching me. I believe you are an angel God sent to teach me. You taught me love. You taught me honesty. You taught me how to forgive and how to be strong. You are the strongest person I have ever known and you gave me strength when I was weak. When times were sad and tough I looked to you for strength. You taught me how to be myself. Most of all you taught me about life and how to live.
Finally, I want to thank my family- Mindy, Dalton, and Hunner. Everyone knows the behind any average married man is an above-average wife. Well in the Military, describing a military spouse as above average is simply an injustice. We that wear the uniform, serve by the grace of God above and the support and love of our spouse at home. Thank you Mindy, I love
Thank you for the time you take to give me an extra hug or tell me I am wonderful. Those silent moments recharge my senses of appreciation for you.
Thank you to everyone who supported me throughout my trail to Eagle Scout! If I never had the support of those beside me, I most likely would not have made it through the journey. I would like to send a special thanks to my father, mother, brother, Mike Deloose, Jason Staver, and Matt Branch for teaching and directing me towards eagle.
I would like to thank my mom for all her help and support not just today but over the years and for giving me my “something old” which I'm wearing for luck today. I have a small gift from us for you.
The other day I went to scouts and we were having a court of honor. During the court of honor some people got rank advancements and Brother Ray was talking about how they were on the path to Eagle Scout. For some reason the mention of Eagle Scout made me think of you and how you were such a great example to everyone. I know you might not think so but you were a great example to me and all of the young men when you were here, and now that you’re on a mission you are being an even greater example.
Thank you for being you, thank you for all the memories, thanks you for all the cheesy jokes and thank you for letting me laugh loudly in every conversation we had. Have
But overall I am thankful for him. He provided me with the love and care I need from a father figure. He made sure that I did whatever I needed to reach my full potential. He showed me the importance of having grandparents. He was able to
The biggest thing you have done for me is bringing my sister into this world. For that and so many other things, I could never thank you enough. I truly believe that I have the best dad in the world. I don’t say that with the naivety of a child, as I previously have. I say that after being exposed to the world for nearly twenty years.
I just wanted to thank you for all that you have done for me. I don't think you realize how much you inspire me and I am so proud of the person you've become and are still becoming. I understand you've been through a lot and you haven't made the best choices, but I can see that you have grown. Truthfully, I've known from the first time I met you to now, that you were a strong person.
I’m so thankful for everything he did for me even though I didn’t know him. Last I’m thankful for my amazing friends. I’m thankful for my friends because they are trustworthy, funny, caring, and I can always count on them. If I would need my friends for anything they would be there for me right away supporting me in it.
