As children, people are completely blown away by the breathtaking beauty of a sunset that fills the sky with shades of red and orange, the various shapes created by the stars as if they were all part of an art gallery created by the heavens, and by the various life forms we share the earth with. The mind of a child is filled with so much curiosity and wonder, yet as we grow older and learn more we become numb to the wonders of this world; arrogance replaces that curiosity, and the woes life take their toll on us. In the constantly expanding society of America, more and more distractions are popping up removing our attention from such things as the stars, sunset, and from nature in general. Humans aren’t born with venomous fangs, or a shell, or the ability to flee or camouflage themselves; mankind is at the top of the food chain only because of our natural ability to think, reason, create, and unify. Humans are social creatures, that is exactly why we are not all hermits. With a higher level of thinking, humans have a built-in sense of community, we are wired to be social. This is precisely the reason why we have civilization, because humans have an inherent need to be part of something larger than themselves. Our ability to adapt and learn new environments is not complete without the ability to establish community, and in order to do that we must communicate. What is also in our nature is the need for activity and proper nutrients. Without activity the process of dissolution speeds up and death comes much sooner, “A body in motion stays in motion”, however in order for our bodies to function properly, we need the proper nutrients. Everything nature has to provide, fruits, vegetables, etc. all have vitamins, and other natural chemicals in them that not only help the body to function properly, but also prevent against diseases and other health problems. In is important to understand human nature, and how we correlate with nature because as America has grown as a country we have deviated from nature in various ways throughout history and it has caused a great number of
