When you choose your words, you have to consider how they will impact the people you are speaking to. If the words you choose do not impact people what is the point of writing or saying them if they have no meaning. Do you ever think of the impact of your words? First, think of the words you choose that have power and can have an impact on others. Every word you choose have a positive and negative meaning. The negative meaning is direct and straightforward with no real meaning behind it where anyone can understand what you are trying to say and the positive meaning is where people can look at it from different points of view and interpret their own way how ever they would like to take it. For example, take the word "couch". It has a negative (direct) meaning: a piece of furniture for someone to sit upon. Anybody can ask anyone what is it and they will be able to say it is a "couch" (or whatever word means "a long upholstered piece of furniture for several people to sit on." in their language). It could be a loveseat, a sectional, a chesterfield, or whatever they think of before their mind's eye shows to that person a "couch". This is not common to everyone, but a general idea of an item depends on the person. This is why people use more specific words so they can narrow the general idea to one item of the speaker's intent. Thus, when the speaker has an image of a sectional, they add the more specific "multi-piece". This prevents the audience from thinking of a love seat image of a sectional, they add the more specific "multi-piece". Do we speak with a purpose? Are we using our words to make a difference? In today’s world, everyone uses language to express the way they feel. By doing this, we not only create feeling but we beautifully deepen and clarify them. It’s how we use our words; that makes what we say special. They can have a major impact on someone or something. Kay Ryan’s poem “Those Places” uses language that influences the entire course of her poem. In fact, Kay Ryan is very careful with her word choice because she knows it will be significant to the meaning of her writing. In her poem, “Those Places” Kay Ryan uses literal language to get to a metaphorical meaning.

While I can sympathize with using it as a noun, I prefer to focus on the transitive verb. A chair is a noun. It's still, unmoving and well defined, yet dead. A transitive verb is going across a sentence and thus a moving and living thing. To some that means less well defined and hard to pin down, to me it means pluralistic and open, yet clear.
Whether being said or being written, there is always a purpose behind the way words are utilized. Words, oftentimes, educate, inform, or even deceive the minds of individuals, but the true power they derive from has brought about the contribution of others resulting in effective outcomes. Although words hold many different purposes, its key motive is evident when used to sway an individual’s position in public controversial matters. There is an old saying that plays something to the tune of, "sticks and stones will break my bones, but words will never hurt me." It is possible that such a phrase was popularized in order for people to equip themselves with a psychological defense against the reality that words can, in fact, have a tremendous amount of significance depending on their usage and context. The careful manipulation of language in essays, for example, is one way that words can be arranged and exploited. This is a tool that authors will often use to reach a specific audience.

For some people, they think that words are more significant than the actions. Although, the words can express and influence someone expressions, feelings and thoughts, yet, it is only the reflection of the action (Mina, 2012). The foundation of verbal meaning often lies in the silence of what is felt nonverbally and bodily. When writing goes well, it is often because we periodically pause and say, 'Is this what I mean to be saying?'It's amazing that we can answer that question:that we can tell whether a given set of words corresponds to an intention. The source of the answer is the feelings and the body-consulted in silence. When writing goes badly, it is often because we don't make these pauses for quiet consultations with felt sense.
