In the heart of Miami, Florida, the Calle Ocho Festival is an event open to people of all ethnic backgrounds and age groups. This event dates back to the late seventies. The festival originated in 1977. It was organized by two men, Leslie Pantín Jr. and Willy Bermello, who wanted to start a project with the Miami Herald to bring the community closer together. They decided on a festival while scribbling on the back of a place mat at lunch one day at the Red Coach Inn during the summer of 1977. Pantín and Bermello's goal was to have a street party that would display the Latin-American lifestyle in the city of Miami for non-Spanish speakers. Today, this festival has grown into the largest Hispanic festival held in the United States. Hundreds of thousands of people attend the event for the dancing, eating, and getting to know everyone and everything that is part of Little Havana.
The marketing concept is producing a product that people want to buy and that the business is not selling because it likes making the product there doing it because they know people will buy their product. The marketing concept can be looked as a philosophy that potentially determines what type of marketing tools/ strategy can be used a company.

But that is at Edison Mall only. They’re very expensive, too. When you go to Warped Tour you get music also. You also get to meet random people with the same music taste as you. At Warped there is a stage called the “Main Stage”.
After reading the poem entitled “Youth”, I felt that James Wright was not only describing the life of his father but also the lives of the many other factory workers in the Ohio Valley. Many of these workers had either dropped out of school or went straight to the factories after high school, never really getting a chance to enjoy their lives as young `````adults. I think that has something to do with the title of this poem. It’s clear that Wright knew his father and the other men were not satisfied with their jobs and just chose not to speak about it. These factory workers slaved away and then came home “quiet as the evening” probably because they were content to just be relaxing at home with their families. They knew that this was their way of life and they had to do it, even if they had big dreams to someday get away. I think that Wright was also trying to make a point that these men who worked so hard every day were not valued as much as they should have been. These men did not have the education to get a higher paying job but they did have the proper skills and knowledge to work in the factories. I like that James Wright mentioned Sherwood Anderson in this poem as I enjoy his work. Anderson left his Ohio hometown for Chicago to pursuit bigger and better things because he knew if he stayed in the area, he would be unhappy. However, it is a little ironic that Anderson one day just got up and left in the middle of writing and was said to have a mental breakdown.
The Los Angeles County Museum of Art has a website that announces its programs. Anyone can easily find and choose a concert. I chose a concert for Sunday July 25, 2010. This concert was emerging artists from Ipalpiti Festibal 2010. It included the four pieces of music that are described below. One of these was Fantasiestucke, Opus 88, both Romanze and Duet were preformed. This concerto was performed by pianist Luiza Borac, violinist Vladimir Dyo, and cellist Yves Dharamraj. The second piece was Ahnung, a new discovery piece from Kinderszenen. This piece was U.S. Premiere, played solo by the pianist Luiza Borac. The third piece was Piano Quartet in E-flat major, Opus 47. This piece was an Andante cantabile piece. This concerto was performed by pianist Luiza Borac, violinist Conrad Chow and Adelya Shagidullina, and Cellist Kian Soltani. The last piece was Piano Quintet in E-flat major, Opus 44. What I discovered about my own musical understanding by attending this concert is the following thing. I know how to appreciate and to enjoy music that is a little bit familiar, but my understanding stops when a very new type of music is performed. I made a conclusion from this experience. My conclusion is that learning about music will increase the pleasure of listening to music, but that musical learning is not, perhaps, as easy as learning subjects like Math or History.
I enjoy and listen to variety of music from classical music to rap music. I have attended many concerts, mostly symphony bands concerts. However, interestingly, through whole my life, I have never experienced jazz music and I have never been to jazz concert. Therefore, it was hard for me to decide which jazz concerts would give me most pleasure and exciting experience. I researched for jazz concerts listing and I have decided to go to the Ron Eschete Trio Concerts because it was held closed to my house and was free.
The event I attended was “An Evening of Jazz” concert held at the Fine Arts Hall on November 17 at 7:30 p.m. The performing groups were The Santa Fe Rhythm and Blues Review, The Santa Fe Jazz Combo, and Santa Fe Big Band. The event was to for me to understand, experience Jazz music and know the instruments used.
The small town Hawaiian parade starts at 9 a.m. on California Avenue to the District Park. There will be floats, marching bands, and military units. At the park, about 40 craft vendors will be selling items and other vendors will be offering fresh island fruit, kettle corn, orchid plants, etc. A cultural tent will be open displaying the history of the ethnic groups that labored in the pineapple camps. The Festival has daylong free entertainment but most exciting is the 4th Annual Wahiawa Jazz Festival beginning at 2:00 p.m. This is really a “Festival within a Festival”.
Al Jarreau will be headlining The Denton Arts and Jazz Festival on Friday, April 25 at 9 p.m. at the Wells Fargo and Budweiser stage after other great acts including Pete Brewer, William Foley and the UNT 1 O'Clock Lab Band. The Denton Arts and Jazz Festival, held at Quakertown Park, ...

Woodstock is a talked about legend. On August 16-18, 1969 Woodstock Music Festival took place on a patch of farmland in White Lake, a hamlet in the upstate New York town of Bethel. John Roberts, Joel Rosenman, Artie Kornfield and Michael Lang who all worked together to organize originally envisioned the festival as a way to raise funds to build a recording studio and rock-and-roll retreat near the town of Woodstock, New York. The longtime artists’ colony was already a home base for Bob Dylan and other musicians. Despite their relative inexperience, the young promoters managed to sign a roster of top acts, including the Jefferson Airplane, the Who, the Grateful Dead, Sly and the Family Stone, Janis Joplin, Jimi Hendrix, Creedence Clearwater Revival. Anyone with a big well known name to people no one had ever heard about was there to perform.
The first person to play was supposed to be Sweetwater but they were stuck in traffic so Richie Havens had to open up the festival. Richie did not want to open the show and kept making up excuses but Michael Lang was not giving up he knew he could do it. At 5:07 pm he sucked it up and went out there and sang his spiritual heartwarming music. He was only suppose to do forty five minutes worth of songs but the crowd wanted more so he went back on stage and sang every song he knew. His last song was called “Freedom” everybody loved it so much that other bands had to do fantastic to compare. (Hilstrom)
I wasn’t sure what I was getting myself into. Someone told me about this activity that happens in the summer for musicians when I was a freshman. “The worst thing that can happen is they say no, and you learn from the experience” my mother told me. Anything I could do to further appreciate music I wanted to give a try. The best part it was
