How to apply mascara for beginners
Mascara is probably the most important piece of makeup to apply as it gives your eyes a special spark and your face a stylish and sophisticated look. Mascara can be worn alone without any other makeup for a clean, natural look, or with other types of makeup for a more ‘done-up’ look. Either way, there is a specific way of applying mascara to create the best look – just follow the steps below.
1. Leave Your Mascara for Last
Always leave your mascara for last. Apply all your other makeup first, such as foundation, eyeshadow, eyeliner and then apply your mascara. If you want extra-long eyelashes, an eyelash curler works wonders to create extra length before applying the mascara.
2. Clean Brush
Open the mascara and pull the wand out from the tube. Twirl the end of the brush on the opening of the tube to remove any excess mascara that might be clumped on the brush. Avoid clumping on the brush, as this will cause clumping of mascara on your eyelashes.

Get Comfortable
Stand in a comfortable position in front of the mirror and hold the brush in whatever hand is most comfortable for you. Lean the elbow of the hand you are using on a steady surface and place the mascara brush at the base of your upper eyelashes.
4. Smooth and Steady
In a smooth, continuous motion, pull the wand upwards towards the end of your eyelashes. Repeat as often as you like to get the effect you want – a few strokes will create a light, natural look, while many strokes will create a darker and hefty appearance.
Expert tip! To avoid clumping, separate your eyelashes by moving the wand back and forth slightly on the upward motion.
When applying mascara to the lower lashes, use the same technique, except roll the brush in a downwards

As part of our culture, while growing up boys and girls are expected to learn the basic skills to fulfill the "roles of their gender." For boys this includes learning all of the the routine maintenance on a car, to work out and be stronger then the girls, and are usually expected to be better with electronics. While at the same time girls are steered towards learning how to cook, clean, and look pretty. All of the female roles require a lot of practice and trial and error before they can be mastered, but the hardest and most time consuming skill to be learned still remains applying make-up. Just as anything else (even writing an essay) the finished product always seems so simple and easy enough to be done by a child in a few minutes. Although, in reality girls spend years doing trial and error to find out what looks good on them and a few more years making it look "natural." This is necessary for every girl go through on her own, to be able to have her own look. However, there is a routine make-up application process that will help any beginning girl with he basics.
Just like the constantly changing fashion world, makeup fads come and go. However, what never changes is the correct approach to applying makeup to achieve the ultimate goal of looking the best you possibly can.

Begin by plugging the clippers into a working outlet. Get the #2 guard and clip it onto the clippers. Each guard is labeled with their number; The bigger the number, the less hair that will be cut, the smaller the number, the more hair that will be cut. So to get the sides of the hair down to a short-appropriate length, you will use a #2 guard all around. Once the guard is clipped on tightly, turn the clippers on and start shaving the sides of your head. This part of the process is just to even out the sides because some areas of the hair grow differently than others. Once the sides of your head are fairly even, turn the clippers off and take off the #2 guard. It is recommended to use the blade cleaning brush to clean the clippers after each time you change guards so hair won’t be stuck in the
No matter how late you are for your brunch or work, if you have decided to apply smokey eyes, it is advised never to apply eye makeup without primer. Primer would cover all the blemishes and make the makeup last longer. Hence apply a generous amount of primer over the eyelid and spread it to your brows.
[Pause] For those who don't know what primer is, it is meant to moisturize one's skin and offer a solid base for the makeup to stay on all day. Next, I usually focus on my eyes. A lot of people like to do their eyes last; but, it takes me the longest to complete, so I prefer to do it sooner. I first like to outline and "wing" my eyes with a liquid eyeliner, which is essentially meant to enhance my eyes. I like to use the "Kat Von D Ink Liner" **show the class the eyeliner**. [Pause] I love winging my eyeliner because my eyes are one of my best features. Winging refers to the way that my eyeliner is right now **motions to my eyeliner on my eyelids**. As you can see if you look closely, my eyeliner is very sharp at the ends which lines up with the end of my eyebrow. Enhancing my eyes more makes me feel incredibly confident, and eyeliner is one of the constant products in the majority of makeup routines. Even the ancient Egyptians would line their eyes with coal. I then follow up with mascara on my eyelashes, and I use "Telescopic" by Loreal **shows the class the mascara**. I like this mascara because it makes my eyelashes look long without actually wearing
You can use any foundation of your preference. I use Fenty foundation, but before I apply my foundation I like to use a primer. The primer I use is Glow Glam and it helps minimize fine lines and pores, and increase the longevity of your makeup. I would use small amount of primer and focus the product around my T-zone. I prefer use a beauty blender when I apply my foundation and I put three large pumps of foundation on my beauty blender and apply the foundation on my neck first, blend the foundation evenly. I build up my foundation from my neck to my forehead and three pumps can be enough, but if I want full coverage i'll do about 5-6 pumps. I will make sure that foundation is blended evenly and there is no fine lines. After my foundation is done I start to do my eyebrows I get my Anastasia angled brush and Anastasia eyebrow pomade in the color dark brown. I dip the angled brush into the pomade and wiped away any excess products on the angled brush. When I do my brows I like to do light strokes and inmatate my eyebrow hairs. A friendly tip to know when using pomade is not to be heavy handed and not use too much product. It’s good to brush and blend out the products in your brow with a spooly so that your brows do not look dark. I use L.A girl concealer in the color beige to clean up the shape of my brow. I would use any kind of concealer brush, put little bit of concealer on the brush and start cleaning any fall out around the tail of my brow. I don’t clean the top of my brow I’ll just leave them alone, but if I want to I would use foundation to clean top of my brows. When my brows are done I use micro fiber brow gel to give my eyebrows that natural finish

The concept of power has been a central question since the formation of human society and we should first look at what its meaning is in a discussion of power. Power can be most simply defined as the ability for someone to get what they want. Power in society can be further divided into “power over," "power to" and "power with”. “Power over” is the ability to hold power over another group or individual in which the one who holds power can influence their actions or behaviour. “Power to” refers to one’s own abilities and resources which allows them to achieve certain goals with their own power.
