How My Father Impacted Me

Dads are usually there for their kids since day one. From there first steps to thier kids graduations. Even though my dad has been there for since day one he has impacted me past that. He has been a call away and a person to laugh with. He has impacted me in major ways wich I will never forget. One thing that my dad definitely impacted me in was my childhood memories. One of the earliest memories I will always recollect is about when my dad and my mom separated is how my dad would entertain me every weekend. I always remembering going to the movies every weekend with my dad when I was at a young age. When my mom would rent out the movie she'd always ask have you seen such and such movie to which Id respond oh you mean that movie to where I'd ruin the plot for her. I always remember my mom, my stepdad, and my brother being mad at me for spoiling the movie that they had been currently watching. I also remember how happy I had been when i had come home from the movie with my dad. Still to this day my Dad and I bond over movies. This due to the fact that we are alike and are bad liars. This creates on our relationship that on the surface of thing there appears to be no lies between my dad and I occasionally a white lie will pass by and skim the surface but it doesn't hurt the years of truths. There is a lot to be said between those conversations my dad and I have in the car. The conversation of,¨dad I have a boyfriend¨ which had turned out to be a major mistake. Or the conversation of,¨what are we doing this weekend¨ seems to pass through the thin air while we are in the car. No one else besides my dad and I in the cars over the years seem to make up for the time that we had gotten to know each
