Introduction

This essay will examine how money has changed the game of football in the UK. I have chosen this topic, as football is the most popular sport in the UK. According to Bond (2013), the numbers of fans that watch the games increased by 60% since the Division 1 has changed to EPL League. The changes that have taken place from around 1950 to the present day has been showing clearly. As there is more capital investment in the football games it creates a different kind of benefit to football games but at the same time, there are also a lot of drawbacks.

According to Malakar(2016), Bond(2013), Ornstein and Pranav(2008) and Burnham(2010) the tickets price are expensive due to demand and player high salary (average about one million pound a year)this effect the working class as they have to watch the games though TV because in some match the ticket price are too high(FA cup and UFEA cup Final).
In the long run, money has destroyed the young player life, as today young player life in the U21 league are too comfortable. Higginbotham (2016) suggest that the new generation player today have no motivation as well as leadership due to high wages that they are earning in the U21 league, which they earn up to 20000 pound a month.
