It is important to understand that each and every person goes through different situations in their lives; what a person faces makes their perspective differ from others. The challenges that we encounter make us who we are. My greatest challenge in life was having a baby. Having a baby forced me to grow up a little faster than I had planned. Although having a baby has made my life much harder, he has been nothing but a blessing for me. Now that I have a child I have more responsibilities. I had to learn how to love and care for a child much sooner than many people have to. I also had to work so that I could afford everything that my son needed. Babies come with a lot of responsibilities, much more than I ever would have thought. Being a parent means being there with the child rather than getting into trouble. I do not go out and party like most seventeen year olds and I do not surround myself with anyone that is not good enough to be around my son. …show more content…
Some people might not think that is a hard thing to do but when a child is constantly rolling over and fussing it makes simple things so much harder. Also a parent must learn what their baby likes and does not like. Grayson's favorite food is strawberry and banana baby food. One key thing to learn as a parent is patience; when the child is fighting sleep and crying at everything, getting upset only makes things worse. Some children fall asleep easier in different environments. One night Grayson could not sleep at all he was up all night and fussing, so I took him on a car ride (because he falls asleep easier in the car) and he was out like a
Adversities are often given a negative connotation and view, as most consider them to be hurdles which impede progress. Nevertheless when taken in and accepted under a positive light, adversities can serve as stepping stones through which an individual can better their character. In the face of looming obstacles individuals who persevere come out of the situation as stronger, determined, and more hopeful for the future.
What does it mean to be a good parent? The most common definition of a good parent is one who makes their children feel valued and loved, by teaching them the difference between right and wrong. At the end of the day, the most essential thing is to create a nurturing environment where your children feel like they can mature into confident, independent, and caring adults. Harper Lee’s novel To Kill A Mockingbird defines what a true parent really is thought hardships and struggles throughout the book. The story is set in the Depression era of a little town in southern Alabama that is struggling with thick prejudice on a colored rape case. The story is told through a character
It is true that obstacles in life are uncomfortable and unsupportable experiences, but if we would learn to look at the bright sides of problems, keep seeking opportunities, manage situations and learn from failures then the difficulties that we face in our life would turn out for the better not only in the present but also in the
The obstacles which we must face are not there to hinder our daily life. They are there to provide countless opportunities to obtain greater success. In order to be successful we must look at every obstacle as a new opportunity.

troubles and challenges. Ultimately, how one is parented and raised will later have an effect on how they deal with
A challenge is nothing more than an obstacle that lies in one's path. I have had my fair share of such obstacles The main one has been my deafness. Many people consider deafness a disabilitya handicap that leads to problems or failure. I am proof that this stereotype is false. I was raised with the awareness that a person in my position can either be a "deaf person" or a person who happens to have a problem hearing. I chose to be the latter.
...child. I had no choice but to shape up and make a way for the both of us. Having a child made me realize that life is not all fun and games as my mother would say. I learned that in life there are responsibilities. I truly believe that had I not had a child at an early age, I would still be a wild absentminded party girl and who knows what else may have happened.
Motherhood has taught me many life lessons. Before becoming a mother, I was a self centered child. I had no motivation to succeed. All I was worried about was where the next party was. At that time I had no want to try because I was so scared to fail. I was slowly progressing to go nowhere and do nothing with my life. That has all changed now. I no longer party or use drugs. I work full time, attend college full time and devote my all to my children. Without them I would probably be in a jail cell not where I am today.
Throughout the entirety of my life I always have and always will face obstacles: I am a girl, I am African-American, I have a disabled brother, I have a single parent. Though these aspects of my life have created challenges, I am proud of who I am and I love my life. These challenges have molded my character and shaped me to be the person I am today and without these obstacles, I might not have been as driven to succeed, despite what has happened in my life that may have caused me to
In conclusion, we learn in life we have to face these challenges in each accomplishment to give us a sense of unity through our family members. In life, we have to go through these challenges everyday and some days it will be easy and some days it will not but as long as we have our friends, family and friends to point us to the right direction we can achieve basically anything we want too. Life there will be things that will hurt us or we can't be able to due, but we will soon overcome all these challenges in life and it will open a new doors for us.
...actual outcome that the child will have in later years in life. Parents must be vigilant and cautious of their actions in front of children. Parents must maintain an active status in the child social and academic life, to be able to guide the child on the most correct manner as possible. No parent or teacher is perfect but as a parent of facilitator one must be open minded to negative development in any stage of life of a child.
What is the meaning of challenge? The denotative meaning of challenge is "a calling into quesion." For the challenges that our society experiences everyday, I think we should look upon them as a page in a never ending story. The severe encounter that has left an impring on my life is death. On June 2, 1999, I received a phone call late that evening informing me that my friend had flown home. He did not fly away by and airplane but by wings that carried him. Death was unexplainable to me, so I received guidance on how to grow from this dissolution. Without the help of my therapist I do not think I would have been able to defeat the fear of being left alone. Knowing that death is unpredictable previously scared me, but now I see it as a chance to live everyday to the fullest. I know that I will be able to overcome any predicament that is laid before me. Losing someone dear to me has opened my eyes to see the world. The day that I graduate form my high school is anouther big step of being away from those that I love. The biggest challenge for me entering college is not being able to have my mother and father there to hold me when times get tough. It is going to be that same feeling of being all alone. For eighteen years I have had someone next to me to hold my hand through good and bad times. Come August I am going to be taking a large step towards my future and a chapter in my life when I am going to have to answer my own questions. My parents, my therapist, and God have taught me the neccessities that I need to know for my future and when I leave for school I am going to have to use my teachings to help me understand and cope with everyday experiences.
The first challenge, and in my opinion the most crucial challenge that I had to face was learning the English language, and also communication. This challenge was important for me to overcome due to the fact that I am here on the
Becoming a mother has been the best part of my life. I became a mother at a very young age. I had no idea what to expect and was not in the least prepared for the journey that lie ahead. I have truly embraced motherhood and enjoy all the wonderful things it has taught me. While living through motherhood, I have found that it can teach you the most valuable lessons there are to learn. Being a mother has taught me how to have patience. I have also learned that being a mother takes a lot on mental and physical strength. My children have been the best to teach me how to juggle many tasks at once. They have made me strong. Even through some unexpected turns, I have learned how to get through hard times and really learn what it means to never give up. My children are my biggest blessing, and I hope they will learn valuable lessons through me. The skills I have learned from being a mother have helped me in my college journey.
