One thing that people have always liked to do, throughout time is watch movies. It gives them a chance to see what would happen if some scenarios came true. Or just to simply be entertained. Movies have always been great and have continued to be one of the best forms of entertainment and amusement. But movies have been evolving since they were first invented. They have been around for a long time. The ways you can watch them have changed over time, the actors have also changed. And the quality has gotten better too. Movies have been around for a very long time. In the early 19th century several new and popular magic lantern techniques were developed. This included dissolving views and several types of mechanical slides that created dazzling abstract effects or that showed, for instance, falling snow, or the planets and their revolving moons. In very early cinema, actors didn’t even have to speak because people only knew how to film people. But not how to put audio on it. So all actors really had to do was move around and move their lips to go with the text that would come up. Now, actors have to become a different person to make the character that they are trying to portray come alive and make the audience forget that the actor isn’t actually their character. Actors back in the day still made a decent amount of money for acting. In 1916, Chaplin was contracted by Mutual Film Corporation to produce twelve two-reel comedies for $670,000. That was a pretty good amount of money back then. But that is not a lot compared to now. When famous actor Will Smith starred in Men in Black 3 in 2012, his total income was $100,000,000 for just one movie! But the best actors are worth every penny that people pay them if they can bring in money at the box
