Recommended: What is importance of religion in life
My religion affects the way I live in several ways. First, because of my religion, I care about everyone. Secondly, I do not believe in abortion, which is killing live human beings inside a woman’s stomach because I am Catholic. Third of all, because I am catholic, I believe in God and Jesus and that they are the only people that can perform miracles.
For my first reason of caring about everyone, I do not like it very much when anyone risks their life for an unreasonable reason. For example, someone I know is always texting and driving, and whenever I seem to tell him in a nicely manner that I do not like that he is risking his and others’ lives over texting while driving, he seems to backfire at me for no apparent reason. All I know is he is risking his and others’ lives because he has to text while he drives a vehicle and that I don’t want to have to see him die and or others’ die because he had to be texting while driving.
Second of all, I do not believe in abortion because Catholics believe that it is killing a live human being inside of a women’s stomach. Catholics believe that once a female is pregnant, she has a live human being inside of her stomach. I actually know someone whose daughter aborted her fetus and ever since then, her dad had

put all different types of powerful words and sentences all over his truck having to do with trying to prevent others from going through the grief he has to go through. For the third objective being the fact that I believe that God and Jesus are the only people who can perform miracles, I don’t feel the need to see them just to believe in them.
There are many stories I believe in that support my reasoning such as Jesus spitting into the dirt to make mud in which he put in the blind man’s eyes. He then told the blind man to go and wash his eyes out and ever since the man did what he was told by Jesus, he was able to see. There is also the book and the movie “Heaven Is For Real.” And the man, which I heard give his story whom has a book and a movie of his story coming out in theatres who spent 90 minutes in heaven. “90 minutes in heaven” is the name of the book and the upcoming
movie. Those are the three main reasons as to how my religion affects the way I live. The first one being about the fact that because of my religion I care about everyone, the second one being that I do not believe in abortion, and the third objective being that I believe only God and Jesus can perform miracles.
Also, mothers carry the baby in their womb for so long, and getting rid of it is wrong on so many levels. In the mainstream Christianity, abortions are not considered in the bible, but it is not viewed as something good. However, the Catholic and Orthodox Church oppose late-term abortion in almost every situation. Hinduism has many varied views towards it, but the original and traditional text condemns elective abortions. In the Islamic faith, late-term abortion is not permissible because it is over four months of pregnancy.
...God. No matter how much society tries to lead Catholics astray, we are to reject abortion and abide by God’s laws.
Abortion may not be a personal choice but it is a grave offense against The Creator and His creation. Being pro-life has always been an issue in religion and primary in its statuses have been Catholics across the country. Church teaching on abortion is clear and unequivocal. There are no omissions or compromises. If you believe in living life, abortion should never be an option. "Pregnancy termination" stops the beating heart of a growing human being and is basically reversing the most basic principle of human nature. It leaves America out to be a country that is unable to replicate itself without the support of immigration. You were once a child that lived life breathed air. But now you are an abortionist, a person that kills babies. If you don’t feel bad about your deeds, then I will for you. You couldn’t possibly abort a child & feel like it was the 100% positive & perfect thing to do. You couldn’t possibly feel “productive” afterwards. Even though this may not...
In 1990, the number of abortions in the U.S increased in number to 1.55 million a year and remained at this level for about 10 years(NRLC 2). After all this time, it seems that mankind has finally started to realize the dignity of a human person. The Catholic Church teaches formal participation in the act of an abortion is a grave offense and that since the time of the First Century, the Church has declared righteous evil of every performed abortion(Catechism of the Catholic Church 548). The Catholic moral law of the church is that "You shall not kill the embryo by abortion and shall not cause the newborn to perish. God, the Lord of Life, has entrusted to men the noble mission of safeguarding life, and men mus...
For many years, the morality of abortion has been questioned by two perspectives: pro-choice and pro-life. While modern culture explains that abortion is a woman’s free choice if she does not want the unborn baby, the Catholic Church teaches the world that from the moment of conception there is a child with a soul within the womb, and to abort it would be to murder an innocent being.
Abortion is intentionally putting an end to a human pregnancy. The Catholic Church has very strict views on this subject matter. To begin with one of the Ten Commandments Catholic’s are forced to live by is “You shall not kill” (Exodus 20:13). Taking the life of a baby whether it is in the women’s womb or not is murder in the opinion of a Catholic. If you abort a baby, you are killing a living being in a Catholic eyes, it has potential to walk on this earth one day. “Human life is sacred because from its beginning it involves the creative action of God and it remains forever in a special relationship with the Creator, who is its sole end. God alone is the Lord of life from its beginning until its end: no one can under any circumstances claim for himself the right directly to destroy an innocent human being.” (Vatican) The Vatican is very firm on the issue. God created you and created that baby and you have no right to take anybody out of this world. Human life is so closely regarded, because it’s like portraying all of God’s artwork. We are all God’s creation and nobody has the right to intervene in the birth of one of God’s creations.
I agree with Jennifer’s stance on abortion. I do not believe it is right for the Catholic Church to be telling women that they must keep their baby. It is a personal choice, and women are given the freedom to make their own decision. I am not saying that everyone should get an abortion, but if a woman was raped for example, she should not have to keep that child. That child may be difficult for the women to cope with and may even be neglected. I do not believe the Church has the ability to take away rights for
Such problems include: depression, suicide, crime, drugs, and so on. Many teachings within modern versions of religion are non-violent in nature. Religious clergy are seen as kind at first glance because society integrates them as non-hostile by nature. This is because, using Christianity for example, people think about the teachings of Jesus of Nazareth when they think about what the person stands for and the message they promote. Furthermore, mild forms of depression can be fought through constant group gatherings such as church, youth group, and others. These group gatherings help to battle introverted behavior and open people up to discussions about morals and other topics. More issues, such as suicide, violence, and drug use are discouraged in quite a few major religions. Moreover, it is important that a person has a clear mindset and regular social interaction to help with this. Suicide victims can seek comfort and help from their local pastor or peers. Furthermore, religion helps troubled people by giving them values to base themselves on which can prevent them from doing ill-conceived things that the religion talks about in scripture. One case is how Christianity frowns upon suicide as if it were self-murder and helps people by telling them that they are an important “creation of God”. It gives value to a person’ self which can increase their self-esteem or self-worth. Also, it can help them to obtain their understanding of why they belong in the world rather than the question of how they belong. Religion gives some people a sense of purpose which can prevent suicidal thoughts or
Abortion is not a topic that I take a firm side on in public settings. I never really express my views on this topic. That being said, I am Episcopalian and do agree with the church’s thoughts on the matter. The Pew Research Center states the following in their article, Religious Groups’ Official Positions on Abortion.
The religion that most fully influences how I live my life and the choices I make is Christianity. Christianity is an Abrahamic Faith whose guiding belief is the presence of one god who has three parts; the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit (Detrick “Religion”). Originally, my choice to follow Catholicism as my basis for my life was influenced by my parents. Both of my parents have strong relationships with God, and their faith is what drives their choices and actions. Growing up, I attended a Catholic school and received daily education of my faith. The combination of Catholic schooling and my parents’ example truly influenced my faith. As I experience more of the world, I find comfort and peace in my belief in God. My faith helps me feel safe and secure, giving me purpose and direction in my life. I am proud to be a Catholic.
Religion is a very important part of life. There are many types of religion practice. Religion guide believers' lives and allow them to develop hope. Spiritually has a profound affect on your everyday life. The Koran is the book that is used by the Muslims, as is the Bible used by the Christians. No matter what book you use you are all believers of God. If you believe in God anything is possible. Spiritually has a profound effect on everyday life. People who believe in God are spiritually empowered and miracles are developed through belief.
Religion is the one element of life that has connected the races and societies of the world for hundreds of years. It has given meaning to lives that may seem otherwise hopeless. Religion has provided for a universal language and culture among those who believe in a higher power. The spirit or being receiving the worship and praise may not be the same, but the practices are usually similar and serve the same purpose--to give direction, insight, courage, and a divine connection.
Jamalpour believes, It is very difficult to define the religion, each group of people have a specific definition and beliefs about that. But people believe that religion makes a better life and makes the world a better place to live. With the help of religion people will respect to the costumes and traditions, nobody will be disappointed, the life has a meaning. So many kinds of religions until today have found, but it?s impossible to say which one is helpful or has a positive impact on man.
The definition of religion is the belief in and worship of a superhuman controlling power, especially a personal God or gods(Merriam-Webster). After this semester I have come to realize that religion is a much more advanced, complicated, and personal definition. Religion can’t be defined in one word or one term because there is a lot that religion entails. There really is no concrete answer of what religion is and the definition varies among different groups of people and individuals.
Religion influences culture in many ways. People of different cultures have a set of beliefs that influence their daily lives and how they act. Religion is like a way of life. Many people take their religion very seriously, so their lives and cultures are majorly affected by their religion then and now. Religion has always had a major impact on human life and culture. It has the ability to not only unify people but also having the ability to cause war, and devastation.
