In Homer’s Odyssey, a great hero in Greek mythology, Odysseus left his hometown Ithaca to fight in the Trojan War(‘’Odysseus’’). Throughout his journey, Odysseus had a hard time staying alive with his crew because of his weakness. Success can give a man pride and passion about what he’s doing, Odysseus was a great king and also one of the strongest Gods in Greek mythology. But the question is: Does Odysseus weakness affect his legacy? Yes, I believe his legacy is affected by his weakness because he’s a god, strong and smart with ambition and king.

The first reason why Odysseus weakness affects his legacy is because he’s a god. Being a god is basically being perfect at anything you do or telling someone to do something accurately. since Odysseus makes a lot of his mistakes with his crew this definitely shows that he is capable of making mistakes even though he has help. “However, despite this small victory, I believe that ultimately Odysseus made the wrong decision that led to the eventual death of his entire crew’’ (Odyssey).
