This passage exemplifies the creation as a lost individual finding his place in society as he learns about the human experience. Frankenstein’s creation is human in some aspects but not in others, all of which contribute to his emotional and instinctual experiences. Frankenstein’s creation explores a human urge when he says “When I looked around I saw and heard none like me” , by experiencing this common human reaction of comparing ourselves to others, he is left acknowledge his loneliness. This self comparison often develops into the human urge of wanting to find someone to relate to, which is exactly what the creation does, but he finds no one.
