John Adams had positive and negative effects on society he had rejected to go into any political conflict but it undermined his effectiveness and lost him the second election. He also was America's first vice president and the second president and he established many ideas that went into the constitution. John Adams helped solve the conflict
John Adams virtually eradicated his chances of easily winning the election of 1800 by defying the hardcore patriotic attitude of many Americans. Through his continued acts, regardless if they were what was best for the country at that particular time or is he believed morally that it was the correct decision, such as approving the Alien and Sedition Acts and helping the British soldiers that were involved in the Boston Massacre, he left no room for himself to take an easy path to the presidency much less any path to the presidency.
Adams recognized that the security of the nation was at risk and he made peace with the French to end the Quazi War. He knew this was going to ruin his chances of a second term but he put the soundness of the nation over his own. John Adams focus on the stability of his nation made him unpopular at times but he knew what was best for nation and did
John Adams began his career as a lawyer, and he first rose to prominence as an opponent of the Stamp Act of 1765 which deprived the American colonists of two basic rights guaranteed to all Englishmen, and which all free men deserved: rights to be taxed on only by consent and to be tried only by a jury of one?s peers. Then, he successfully defended the British soldiers involved in the Boston Massacre (1770) with only two of the eight found guilty of manslaughter believing that it was important to ensure that innocents were protected. From 1770 ? 1774, Adams served in the Massachusetts legislature and was then elected a member of the Continental Congress. He nominated Washington to be Commander-in-Chief and was part of the committee that worked to draft the Declaration of Independence.

Filling many roles throughout his life, John Hancock shaped the course of the Revolution by standing out against the British rule. Originally a merchant and statesmen, Hancock became the president of the Second Continental Congress and helped convince all thirteen colonies to unite for their independence (History). Hancock stood for freedom in a time in which many leaders still hesitated to declare independence, and his influence convinced many colonists to unite against tyranny and still inspires many people today. During the Revolutionary war, Adams served in France and Holland as a diplomatic role. After George Washington was elected as the President, he was put under Washington as the first Vice President. After Washington’s presidency, Adams, who was apart of the Federalists, got elected as President on March 4th, 1797 with Thomas Jefferson, his friend and rival as Vice President. John Adams was well known for his aloofness, and demonstrated passionate patriotism for America, he was also an independent man who did not care for the opinion of the public; except his wife
Thomas Jefferson and John Adams were the last living individuals from the first American progressives who had confronted the British people and manufactured another political group in the previous provinces. Then again, while they both trusted stock in vote based system and life, freedom and the quest for joy, their conclusions on the best way to accomplish these standards separated after some time. Later, serving two presidential terms, Jefferson and Adams each communicated to outsiders their appreciation the other and their longing to recharge their friendship. Adams was the first to end the hush; he sent Jefferson a letter around the time of new year’s, in which he wished Jefferson numerous great new years to come. Jefferson reacted with
many problems faced by the nation during his time and set standards by which we still follow
“ A wise and frugal government... shall restrain men from injuring one another... shall leave them otherwise free to regulate their own pursuits..., and shall not take from the mouth of labor the bread it has earned .This is the sum of good government (Jefferson,1801) .” This was said by Thomas Jefferson our third President of the United States of American. John Adams our second President of the United States of America, for 4 years as President change the “Free World” to a federalist powerhouse in this new, young country. John Adams was a poor President for the United states because of the X,Y,Z affair, the Alien Act , the Sedition Act ,and the “Revolution of 1800”.
John Tyler changed history in many ways, besides the fact that he along with forty-three other men got to take the sacred oath and helped run the United States. Although, John Tyler is said to be the only President to be an enemy of the United States he did play a big role in history. (Lisa DeMauro 18) He was responsible for claiming the biggest state in the United States, Texas. (Ed. Kelle S. Sisung and Gerda-Ann Raffaelle). However, he is mainly known for being the first president sworn into office due to the death of President William Henry Harrison. This made him the first unelected president. (Ed. Kelle S. Sisung and Gerda-Ann Raffaelle). Due to that reason John Tyler is unlike any other President and that’s how John Tyler got to be the tenth President of the United State of America

The major presidential candidate in the election of 1800, were John Adams, running for his second term in office, against his old friend, the democratic-republicans Thomas Jefferson. John Adams who was elected the second president after serving as a vice president for George Washington was a federalist who was pro-British and pro-centralization. He believed in a national bank ruled mainly by the wealthy and a strong federal government to restrain many popular opinions and majorities; thus, passing the Alien Sedition Acts to prohibit anyone from criticizing the president and prevent any threat to the nation.
Thomas Jefferson was the third American President. Due to the fact that he was such an early President, he influenced our political system greatly, both in the short and long term with his seemingly quiet approach to congressional matters. During his presidency, many things happened that changed the United States as we know it. He coordinated the Louisiana Purchase, assisted in implementing the twelfth amendment, formed the character of the modern American President, and cut the U.S.’s war debt by a third.
During his presidency, Adams tried to put in place progressive domestic policies such as the building of roads and canals financed by the sale of public lands, he sought to put the United States in a position to lead the world in the arts and sciences by building a national university, financing scientific expeditions, and the building of an observatory. He also sought to designate lands in the west for Native Americans. Due to the massive Jacksonian opposition to Adams all of his efforts ended up being shot down and vilified as beyond constitutional

For example, He defended the soldiers that shoot the mob in the Boston Massacre, because he believed that every person deserved a defense, even though he didn’t agree with the situation. That decision gave him a good reputation that helped him as he strongly and effectively worked to accomplish his goal Secondly, Adams was encouraging, both publicly and privately, a gradual lessening of dependence on Britain, He conducted private conversation with congressman and checked what people think and share his ideas about gaining independence.
