Charles Manson. The infamous name was given to a child born on November 12th, 1934 in Cincinnati Ohio. Born was a criminal. Known for the murders of many and always being in and out of jail, Manson did not have a good reputation. Charles Manson had an impact on society in many ways. One-way he impacted society was by killing many people in the creepy ways that he did it. Another way he influenced society was by forming a large family that terrified many people around the world because they were very powerful and intimidating, and lastly, when he got arrested his story shook the nation, it was vile and very shocking to many.

When he was still an infant, Kathleen took her son to a restaurant and had him resting on her lap when she started a conversation with the waitress. The waitress was eager to become a mother herself, and thinking that baby Manson was cute, she joked that she’d buy him from Kathleen.
“A pitcher of beer and he’s yours,” was Kathleen’s reply. Even though the waitress thought she was kidding she still brought her another pitcher of beer. What she didn’t expect was that as soon as Kathleen finished her beer, she sneaked out of the restaurant—and left Charles behind. The only reason Manson made it back home was because his uncle found out about the situation, tracked down the waitress and brought him home.
Manson was described by probation reports as suffering from a "marked degree of rejection, instability and psychic trauma" and "constantly striving for status and securing some kind of love." Other descriptions included "unpredictable" and "safe only under supervision." Manson did not know what a “normal” life was. When his mother sent him away, he did know she sent him away because she did not want him, also because she could not afford it. When Manson broke out of his boy school he stole food, once he got older he stole cars, money and much more. He would be brought back every single time, even once his own mother brought him back. Manson was considered a lost cause until he married Rosalie Jean Willis in 1955. Standing trial in Los Angeles for grand theft auto, he was nearly released on probation due to his marriage and newborn son. When he was jailed anyway, Rosalie divorced him and took Charles Manson Jr. away. Manson never saw them again. After a brief probation, during which he was arrested for prostitution, he was returned to prison to serve the remainder of a ten-year sentence. Many researchers believe this was one of his motives, not being loved, so he felt that he had to take it out on other people.
