Different Music Growth and Merge of America Nowadays, America is the largest music exporting countries which has different kinds of music, and people around the world are aware Grammy. However, why American music can be so popular that can influence all over the world. It because that American music has long has long history starting from 16th century. American music started by the first nations, who had hundreds of ethnic groups across the country. Because of the first industrial revolution and the second industrial revolution and two world wars, later there were many other immigrates coming from all over the world, bring in their music with unique culture. At the same time, jazz evolved into a more experienced bebop scene. Growing youth culture also influenced American music. More and more teen music stars arose. Frank Sinatra was one of them. American music was experiencing a new audience in music history. In the middle of 1940s, Western swing had reached its peak of popularity, which blended swing, blues and cowboy songs together. For example, start Bob Wills was one of the best-known musicians in that area. At the same time, country music became more and more popular, mixing Rock and Roll and blues to form a new style of music. Famous Rockabilly’s starts were Elvis Presley and Bill Haley, who had a huge number of young fans. However, R&B was not that welcome in country music fans. In the early 1960s, the number of surf, girl groups and soul singers was increasing. In the period of sexual liberation and racial conflicts, many song writers put those topics into their songs, showing their thoughts. Psychedelic rock became the most popular music in young people. Bands like The Beatles, Rolling Stores and The Who were on top of the area. However, there were few American bands could compete such as The Beach Boys and the Mamas & the Papas. In the later time, psychedelic rock had been spited into heavy metal, Punk rock music. In the middle of the 1960s, Merle Haggard led the rise of Bakersfield Sound. At the same time, bluegrass influenced jam bands such as Grateful Dead. In addition, in the 1970s, American popular music was influenced by folk music, heavy metal and hip hop, which was made up by rapping and DJing. A lot of young people were dancing in Hip Hop music at neighborhood block parties. Be the end of the decade, hip hop was spreading across the whole country. It was extremely popular in Los Angeles and Chicago. Moreover, in the 1980s, hip hop was continuously growing. It was spreading from the East Coast to cities. Finally, in the 1990s, bubblegum pop groups such as Backstreet Boys and Britney Spears were very popular. Rappers were becoming popular too. At the time, music field was colorful and dynamic.
