Epic Warriors In the epic poem Beowulf it tells the story of a young warrior. The warrior come to aid of Hrothgar, the king of Danes, which is being terrorized by a monster named Grendel. Beowulf uses his strength and bravery to kill Grendel. Achilles was great man that just wanted blood. His friend Patroclus was killed and he fights to avenge his friend to earn glory. Achilles wouldn’t have achieved glory if his friend hadn’t died. His friends death is what led to Achilles fame and glory. Next, Beowulf and Achilles is different in many ways.
