Before visiting Rose’s parents, Chris was worried about the problem of race, so then Rose’s parents would not accept him because he’s a black person. When they met each other, the reaction of Rose’s parents was not what Chris expected. They spoke politely to each other but Chris felt embarrassed when they were acting nicely. Form the movie what Rose’s dad said: “by the way, I would voted for Obama for a third time if I could. Best president in my lifetime.
