History is All You Left Me has been outdoing my heart from the beginning. Every chapter is a gut-wrenching punch. I’m all bruised up and I ache all over. Please tape your heart for safety precautions. You’ll need it.
The story follows Griffin Jennings whose ex-boyfriend, Theo dies in a drowning accident. He’s broken and grieving and he turns to the person everyone least expected, Jackson. He’s the guy Theo was dating before he died. They are two guys who should hate each other, but instead they found resemblance that calls them to each own. It was grief. It was Theo.
Griffin will resonate with readers. He’s nerdy, incredible, and easy to love. His arc would make you cry, and hurt. You’d question his unfailing loyalty and love to Theo. The immortalize picture he painted of him. You’d see his spectacular self, the amazing moments. You’d also see his selfish side, the bad parts. It wasn’t glossed over. I love that. He has so much tale to unload. His compulsion is neatly infused and handled. It was another sucker punch to see him struggled. Silvera delivered it beautiful.

To see a healthy and positive portrayal of coming out and seeing their parents guide them. Parents giving their gay son the “sex talk.” Life doesn’t get better than that.
History is All You Left Me is all about pain. The main driving point is overcoming grief after all. But, it’s solely not just about that. There are little joys, too. Silvera stitched the readers with an uplifting conclusion. That’s how you write inclusively. You don’t only include the pain, but the joys
After a few days, Mr. Griffin’s disappearance was on the news. Of coarse, no one knew where Mr. Griffin really was, and what had actually happened to him. It was hard for them to keep it in. They all felt so bad, except for Mark.
Growing up, Charlie faced two difficult loses that changed his life by getting him admitted in the hospital. As a young boy, he lost his aunt in a car accident, and in middle school, he lost his best friend who shot himself. That Fall, Charlie walks through the doors his first day of highschool, and he sees how all the people he used to talk to and hang out with treat him like he’s not there. While in English class, Mr. Anderson, Charlie’s English teacher, notices that Charlie knew the correct answer, but he did not want to speak up and let his voice be heard. As his first day went on, Charlie met two people that would change named Sam and Patrick who took Charlie in and helped him find himself. When his friends were leaving for college, they took one last ride together in the tunnel and played their favorite song. The movie ends with Charlie reading aloud his final letter to his friend, “This one moment when you know you’re not a sad story, you are alive. And you stand up and see the lights on buildings and everything that makes you wonder, when you were listening to that song” (Chbosky). Ever since the first day, Charlie realized that his old friends and classmates conformed into the average high schooler and paid no attention to him. Sam and Patrick along with Mr. Anderson, changed his views on life and helped him come out of his shell. Charlie found a

The chapter “Clarify What’s Important to you” introduces several successful leaders and many praiseworthy values to me. Although each leader comes from different environments and possesses different characters, all of them keep their precious values in mind and persist in chasing their ideal lives. Even if each value can be interpreted by different meanings, they all lead encourage individuals to become better.
Individuals are struggling nowadays to acquire an education higher than a high school diploma. One of the main reasons for this issue could be very well the price it is to attend college. The prices have skyrocketed throughout the years. A lot of the people who attend college have to take out a “student loan,” just so they can get by. I believe one should not need to be in serious debt before they even graduate, all because they want to go out and further their education, and become successful in their life. College is a popular topic for most and Sanford J. Ungar and Charles Murray has a unique way of explaining both their opinions.
The film chronicles the histories of three fathers, and manages to relates and link their events and situations. First is Mitchell Stephens and his relationship with his drug-addict daughter. Second is Sam, and the secret affair he is having with his young daughter Nicole. He is somewhat of a narcissistic character because of his preoccupation with himself and pleasing himself, and his lack of empathy throughout the film for the others in the town. Third is Billy, who loves his two children so much that he follows behind the school bus every day waving at them. Billy is also having an affair with a married woman who owns the town’s only motel. On the exterior the town is an average place with good people just living their lives. But, beneath all the small town simplicity is a web of lies and secrets, some which must be dealt with in the face of this tragedy.
The idea behind this short story is not the fact that everyone dies, but the eventful memories that can make the life worthwhile. The author says, “So much for endings. Beginnings are always more fun! True connoisseurs, however, are known to favor the stretch in between, since it’s the hardest to do anything with. That’s about all that can be said for plots, which anyway are just one thing after another, a what and a what and a what.
Someone once said, “Relationships end, but the happy memories that were made are what last forever.” In the song “End Credits” by EDEN, the artist creates a story of a relationship, where he wishes for him and his partner to run away together, and to only focus on the present by making happy memories. However, EDEN later realizes that this wish is impossible, and could never happen. In “End Credits,” the artist creates a central message of how often in life, people decide to live in the moment and not worry about the past, however, this is truly just a fantasy as usually, consequences of one’s actions will catch up to them. EDEN also uses literary elements such as motifs, metaphors, and similes to enhance the theme of the song.
As the first chapter in this long analytical book, chapter one serves as the foundation for the rest of the novel, with a basic premise that “history textbooks make fool out of the students.” It shows how portrayal of historical figures and events in the best light for the reputation of United States leads to biased and distorted historical education.
The thing I remember being most excited to learn about was the history of America from 2000 to 2010. At the end of the year in AP US History, our teacher divided our class into groups with each group researching and making a project about a decade in US history. I was excited to learn about the period for many reasons. For one, several of my friends were in my group and we'd be working together, playing off of each other's strengths to produce the best possible result. Secondly, the most recent decade combines two of my strong interests: history and current events. By learning about recent history, I'd be able to make connections between what happened years ago and what's on the front page of USA Today. Finally, and perhaps most importantly,
What would it be like if you woke up and were an outsider in your own life? Left to piece together who you once were by fragments of memories and the people around you. That’s what protagonist Samantha Jo Franco had to endure in Don’t Look Back by Jennifer Armentrout. By remembering enough to know she hates her old self Sam realizes this is her second chance. Though she made mistakes in the past, she is worthy of forgiveness.
Even when short stories hold a meaning of loss some light always exists. Regardless of the object lost a silver lining always emerges. Even if it comes from finding new meaning after all is lost as in Gwilan’s harp. Persevering through unspeakable hardships midst a sea of loss similar to The Washwoman. Or a loss of one fixing the loss of another like in The Last Leaf. No matter the situation dealing with and finding something after loss is always possible. Executing a masterful depiction of many types of loss over three short stories shows the detail and care put into each one.
I’m going to be writing a short essay on respect. My first paragraph will be about respectful quotes from the song “Stand By You”. I will be embracing how the lyrics are respectful. I will name at least 4 quotes from “Stand By You”. In my second paragraph I will be writing about who I can make connections to from this song. Who I think relates to this song with me. Who I think is respectful. About the person who i get reminded of when i here “Stand By You”.

In the story After 20 Years, the author conveys a credible message on friendship. The two friends, Bob and Jimmy, were childhood companions. Eventually, they realized that they would part ways, and, most likely, not see each other anymore. They made a deal that in twenty years exactly, they would meet at the 'Big Joe' Brady's restaurant at ten-o-clock. That was the exact date and time that they had departed. As Bob is telling the police man this story, he doesn't know that he is actually under arrest. Then, who Bob thinks is Jimmy, finally shows up and they start to talk about their lives and what has been going on. However, the man Bob is talking to is not Jimmy, but he is actually a police man. After Bob realizes this, he also realizes that
