Hiram Hiram is a calm and moral character which could mean his zodiac sign is probably Pisces (Born February 19 through March 20). Pisces “are honest, unselfish, and trustworthy and often have quiet dispositions” (Astrology). In the book “Mississippi Trial, 1955” author Chris Crowe has Hiram say “Quiet, R.C.! Dang it, if they hear us, I’m going to be in big trouble with Gramma. You know she thinks we ought not bother Ralph and Ronnie” (16). This shows he is Pisces because he’s being honest and trustworthy. Hiram is also gullible, this is shown when in the book R.C. says “Naw, but the boy don’t know his place. Folks are sayin’ he talked ugly and whistled at her. A married woman, even. The lady’s husband was pretty upset when he heard ‘bout …show more content…
it. Asked me to go with him and some friends to visit the boy tomorrow night and teach him how things work down here in the Delta” (105). After R.C. says that the boy is killed and Hiram thinks its R.C. because he said he was going with those men. The last way Hiram shows himself being Pisces is how he’s able to be taken advantage of. This is shown in the story when Hiram wants to go visit his grandpa and his dad says “That’s enough, Hiram Hillburn. You say one more word and you’ll might be sorry!”(41). Earl (Hiram’s Grandfather) Earl is a passionate man with great love, thus his most likely Zodiac Sign would be Gemini (Born May 21 through June 20).
“Gemini are sometimes hard to predict how they will react, can turn from hot cold, and may be prone to noticeable mood swings” (Astrology). Earl is all of these things, we know this because in the book Earl gets from cool to hot when his son was taking Hiram to Arizona and said “Arizona! Why in the hell would you want to live in that desert? That’s my only grandchild you got there, Harlan. How can you take him away from his home, from his grandpa? They argued for a while, Grandpa swearing and shouting” (39). Earl shows noticeable mood swings after his wife died and he stayed in bed when he used to take Hiram out to the courthouse. “Grandpa didn’t get up for breakfast. Your granddaddy doesn’t sleep well these days, some nights he’s up late at those Council meetings, Ruthanne explained” (55). Earl shows he’s hard to predict when at the end we figure out he actually helped kill the kid that whistled at that lady. “You where there. That night, you were there. My grandfather’s smile faded. He looked away from my and whispered, “The boy was alive when I left; they promised they were don’t when him when they brought me home.”” …show more content…
(214). R.C. R.C is a trouble maker and has a lot of power, which means his most likely Zodiac Sign would be Leo (Born July 23 through August 22).
“Leos are all about expanse, power, and exuberance. Leo’s are natural born leaders, and they will let you know as they have the tendency to be high-minded and vocal about their opinions” (Astrology). R.C. shows power when in the book he says “Hey, watch what you’re doin! R.C. stepped through the bushes and into our yard. He had on the same torn and oversized black high-top Keds he always wore. His shirt and jeans were rumpled and dirty, his red hair a tangled mess. He scowled at me like the cat had. “You ‘bout put my eye out, Hiram.”” (13). He shows he’s a leader when he said, “Tell you what, Hiram, we ain’t got no barges comin’ down for another couple days, so why don’t we go fishing tomorrow? I can see if you learned anythin’ since you been in Arizona. It’ll be like old times” (78). R.C is very vocal about his opinions, this is obvious when he says “Ruthanne that nigger girl your granddaddy got workin’ for him?

In the Lilies of the Field by William E. Barrett, Homer and Mother Maria both display straightforward, hardworking, and stubborn character traits. Firstly, Homer and Mother Maria both display a straightforward personality by being brutally honest about their opinions. For example, when Mother Maria asks Homer to build a chapel, Homer speaks his mind by telling her he does not want to build it. Mother Maria shows her straightforward behavior during Homer’s stay at the convent. One morning, when Homer sleeps in late, Mother to becomes extremely upset and is not afraid to show how she feels about him. Secondly, both Homer and Mother Maria display a hardworking spirit. Homer is a hardworking man because after finally agreeing to build the chapel,

George Bailey: A magnificent individual. He gave a lot to his family members and others in his town. He gave up his adventurous dreams to fulfill, and help others, even the money he had saved up for his honeymoon so that others can lead a normal life until things settle down with the company. He’s very generous heart and puts others needs before him. He does everything possible to help others in any way he can. He is a very honorable man. He proves it by turning down Mr. Potter’s remunerative off to keep him and his family in good standing in the community.
“[Suddenly there was a tremendous explosion, Doc and Roberts clutch at the desk] ‘Roberts: Oh, my God! Doc: He wasn’t kidding’”!(400) They turn around to find Ensign Frank Pulver wearing a tattered uniform and a blackened face. This just one of Frank Pulver’s many childish and naive stunts in the play Mister Roberts by Joshua Logan. Throughout the play, Frank Pulver is indirectly characterized as being immature and foolish through his actions, humor, and dialogue.
Why watch them burn? Why not enjoying the purpose of them? It was such a hurt to hear about them burning and being destroyed. Society should’ve used the books how they were supposed to be used. Enjoying each and every word in them. This was from the perspective and view of Faber, in my opinion. He didn’t like the idea of the burning of books at all. Faber was a Smart man. He was a literature teacher, so he loved books. He really disagreed with all the firefighters, who were actually starting fires instead of stopping them.

So overall, he may have been unpopular as a young boy and spent a good deal of time alone. It seems as though rejection is a big issue for the Zodiac. No one knows anything about the Zodiac's parents, but it wouldn't be ridiculous to say that there was domestic violence, broken relationships with parents or guardians, and maybe even physical or sexual abuse in the household. Considering the adult outcome, Zodiac would have turned out to be an angry, withdrawn, loner, whose adolescence could have been filled with fantasies and irrationality. In California, December 20, 1968, the Zodiac attacked Betty Lou Jenson and David Faraday.
Henry Clerval was a character with many traits that shaped him into the gentleman he was all through the book. Henry was one of Victor’s closest friends and was loved by the whole Frankenstein family. Mary Shelley the author of Frankenstein, did not create Henry as a perfect person. She gave him characteristics that showed how he was not a perfect human being, but an ordinary man that the readers could relate to. During the novel Frankenstein, Henry Clerval displayed how he was an optimistic, caring and ambitious person.

Throughout all the sinful things Hester Prynne has done, she still managed to obtain good qualities. Hester was an adulterer from the book The Scarlet Letter by Nathaniel Hawthorne. Hester was looked down upon by the citizens of Boston because of the sin she and another person committed, but no one knew who her partner in crime was because she refused to release his name. Towards the very end of the story Hester’s accomplice confessed and left Hester and Pearl feeling joyous, because now they didn’t have to keep in a secret. Hester is a trustworthy, helpful, and brave woman throughout The Scarlet Letter.
My belief is that the nature of our behavior is based on astronomy; hence the reason that people who share the same zodiac sign have very similar characteristics, and sometimes a combination of people with certain zodiac signs cannot get along or are very compatible. Sometimes I can tell from a person’s sign because of their behavior, and likes and dislikes. Learning more about astrology and the zodiac signs helps us to understand people and their actions. Many argue that it is coincidence, but the odds are too high to be that.
Everyone has a Zodiac sign that they base their daily horoscope on. But do they really know where those signs come from? First of all, all that horoscope stuff is really astrology, but the real signs come from the constellations on the ecliptic. In our celestial atmosphere there is the ecliptic which is the path of the stars and constellations. On this path there are twelve constellations including Virg...
