Hero's Journey-Mulan
Heros can be called many different names: he or she can be a boy, girl, or anything else. There is one thing Heros all have in common. Heros all have a goal to help someone that means so much to him or her. Mulan is a hero in her own, unique way. She wants only to protect her father from harm and is ready putting herself in danger to do that. Mulan starts her journey wanting to protect her dad, and goes through many different tasks with the help of her friend, Mushu, in order to do just that. In her call to adventure, Mulan can not help but try her best to protect her dad and his honor. When Mulan goes off to protect her father, a small dragon, Mushu, goes after Mulan in order to help make sure she stays safe. “I am the guardian of lost souls. I am the powerful, the pleasurable, the indestructible, Mushu!“(Mulan). Mushu wants to protect Mulan and in turn protects her family name. Mushu made Mulan's journey much easier by helping her with every task a man was expected to be good at. Mushu encouraged Mulan not to quit and to get better than everyone else at the simple tasks. Mulan is, and always has been, a hero in her own way. She goes off to war with nothing but her own will to protect who she loves pushing her forwards.
