Federal authorities are investigating a harmful situation at the at Joint Base Myer-Henderson Hall after at least eleven individuals said they felt ill after opening an envelope. A hazmat situation was reported Tuesday night on the base in Ft. Myer, Virginia after several officials in the administration building reported feeling very sick after being exposed to a letter. Firefighters were the first unit to arrive at Henderson Hall, the headquarters of the U.S. Marine Corps, where hazmat units arrived at the scene shortly thereafter. The letter that was opened in the administration building reportedly contained a potentially hazardous substance, which led to an immediate evacuation and deployment of several emergency units. At least three
At 2215 hrs, on November 28, 1942, Fire Alarm Headquarters from Box 1514, situated at Stuart and Carver streets, received an alarm. When the responding apparatus arrived they found a small car fire at the corner of Stuart Street and Broadway. After the fire was extinguished the firefighters were about to return to quarters when their attention was called to smoke emanating from the Cocoanut Grove Nightclub a few doors away. Upon their arrival at the entrance of the Broadway lounge on Broadway they encountered numerous people leaving the premises admidst the cries of “fire”. The chief in charge immediately ordered that a third alarm be sounded from Alarm Box 1521 which the alarm was received by fire alarm headquarters at 2223 hrs. A civilian sent an alarm that was received at 2220 by fire alarm headquarters. As soon as the chief in charge realized that the immediate problem was one of rescue he ordered that a fourth alarm (received at 2224) and a fifth alarm (received at 1102) be sent. The apparatus responding was comprised of 25 engine companies, 5 ladder companies, 1 water tower company, 1 rescue company and various other apparatus. 18 hose steams for cooling purposes and three ladders were utilized (located at Piedmont, Broadway, and Shawmut for venting operations).
After looking at the five steps in comprehensive incendiary investigation it looks like a form of scientific method used in many other areas of fire investigation. The five steps are fire scene investigation, assessment of investigative needs, formulation and evaluation of a strategy, implementation of strategic plan and presentation of formal investigation. The five steps, like the scientific method, they have a beginning, middle and end. After I go over the five steps then I will identify the methodology in securing the interview, identify the interviews I will need and I will list some question.

Here at the Chelsea Naval Hospital, the influx of patients arriving home from the war inflicted with "battle wounds and mustard gas burns," has created a shortage of physicians and it is becoming increasingly difficult to fight this influenza. Even our own physicians are falling ill from the disease and dying within hours of its onset. Today I received a letter from Dr. Roy, a friend and fellow physician at Camp Devens, who describes a similar situation:

Todays lecture was “Stitched Together: Workers, Students & the Movement for Alta Garcia”. There were two films shown. One was a short film focusing on the 1911 Triangle Shirtwaist Fire and the second film was on the Movement for Alta Garcia. The overall purpose of this presentation was to show and raise awareness to viewers. Working conditions are extremely punitive and must be put to an end. American Labor Unions and labor laws have also drastically changed overtime.

Crime Scene Investigation For my assignment, I will be looking into the case of James Bulger, aged 2 years old, who was kidnapped and murdered by John Venables and Robert Thompson on February 12th 1993. Through evidence found at the crime scene and testimonial statements, the police saw that the two boys, ages 11, abducted James from Bootle Strand Shopping Center, Liverpool. They took him on a long, aimless walk where they brutally attacked him and left him for dead. In my assignment I will show how work done by the police, forensic scientists and Investigators helped to convict Jon and Robert.
Army I was able to get on the base. If someone doesn’t have a valid military ID card they cannot get on the base unless they are escorted by someone who does. You always have to maintain good order and discipline. The service member and extended family is always expected to live by the “Army values” which are loyalty, duty, respect, selfless service, honor, integrity, and personal courage. If the service member or extended family does anything that is of embarrassment to the Army, their command will be notified. One is expected to act a certain way when wearing uniform and if anyone is with that service member in uniform, they are also expected to act a certain way. In civilian culture your job is just something you do but in the military your job is what you are. Being in the military defines you. In the military there is not just one culture but many cultures linked by the same mutual understanding of the military. Many service member’s live on the base itself so it’s a very tight-knit community where everyone knows and helps each other because everyone is going through similar
It was a dreadful afternoon, big droplets of rain fell directly on my face and clothes. I tasted the droplets that mixed with my tears, the tears I cried after the incident. The pain in my foot was excruciating. It caused me to make a big decision of whether I should visit you or not. I decided I would. I limped towards my bright, blue car where my bony, body collapsed onto the seat. I started the engine up but at the same time being cautious of my bleeding foot. I then drove to the destination where I was bound to meet you. I was bound to meet you after three years of counselling from my last appearance with you. I guess all I can remember is the scarring....
