“Women's Day” by Hassan Bleibel is about women taking charge of their life and ending oppression of women. The speaker of this cartoon is society and they are talking to women. The author is stating how women are being treated and how we should take charge of our life. I believe the cartoons argument is very successful. The authors claim or purpose is women shouldn't let men bring them down they should work hard to be successful. I feel there is two strong techniques being used in this cartoon they are irony and symbolism. The way I see irony in this cartoon is by the way the author shows a man pulling or holding on to a woman as she is trying to move forward and upward on this mountain.
