They need to invest in production facilities and sell enough goods to cover these fixed costs. Now, due to the emergence of third-party suppliers, traditional toy manufacturers do not have to build their own factories to produce products.
Buyers can switch easily from a toy supplier to another. The transfer cost of this shift is very low, for example, it will not cost too much and will buy from Mattel or JAKKS. Conversion costs will not be a key issue for those buyers if they consider changing suppliers.
Other potential entrants are retailers who can use third-party suppliers to produce their own branded toys with low prices displayed in their stores, shelves, and avoid paying costs. They do not need to invest a lot of money to develop new products or facilities. They are only able to find third-party suppliers to produce. Based on these three points, we believe that the threat of new entrants is high.
Threat of Substitutes
Toys are entertainment tools for kids or family. There are many products that can be used to achieve the same goal. These alternatives can perform the same functions including computer and video games. Customer conversion costs are lower, from toys to other alternatives. So, there is a strong substitutes to the
“‘They score! Henderson has scored for Canada!’” Foster Hewitt wordlessly described” (Pelletier) when Paul Henderson scored the series-winning goal. This allowed Canada to win the 1972 Summit Series, a moment that no one would ever forget since it all happened during the climax of the Cold War. Prior to this, the Soviets had won the previous three Olympic gold metals since Canada could not use its NHL players. Thus, this provided Canada with the chance to play hockey against the USSR using its best players. This raised the question: if Canada were able to send its best players, would it still be enough to beat the Soviets? Everyone in Canada was certain that the Soviets would not win a single game, but little did they know they underestimated the extent of the Soviets abilities. Tied in the last few minutes of game eight, Canada had to score or they would lose the series. However, when Paul Henderson scored the game-winning goal, never before had a single sporting event meant so much to Canadians. Therefore, Paul Henderson’s goal is a defining moment for Canada in the twentieth century becauseit provided Canada with the opportunity to evolve hockey, proved that Canada and our democratic society were superior to the USSR and their communist society, and brought citizens together to unify Canada as a nation.

The Hunger Games was a critically acclaimed movie when it came out; however, some critics would argue that the movie can be sometimes too violent for its intended audience. In this essay I would dissert Brian Bethune’s essay “Dystopia Now” in order to find its weaknesses and compare the movie Battle Royale with his essay.
Threat of new entrant is high: With little limitation on capital needs or patents any capable company can easily enter into the already crowded industry.
Scott Hightower’s poem “Father” could be very confusing to interpret. Throughout almost the entirety of the poem the speaker tries to define who his father is by comparing him to various things. As the poem begins the reader is provided with the information that the father “was” all of these things this things that he is being compared to. The constant use of the word “was” gets the reader to think ‘how come the speaker’s father is no longer comparable to these things?’ After the speaker reveals that his father is no longer around, he describes how his father impacted him. Details about the father as well as descriptions of the impacts the father has distraught on the speaker are all presented in metaphors. The repetitive pattern concerning the speaker’s father and the constant use of metaphors gives the reader a sense that the speaker possesses an obsessive trait. As the reader tries to interpret the seemingly endless amount of metaphors, sets of connotative image banks begin to develop in the reader’s mind. Major concepts that are expressed throughout the poem are ideas about what the speaker’s father was like, what he meant to the speaker, and how he influenced the speaker.

As a young graduate student who never been to Congress, Woodrow Wilson criticized the founding fathers on the separation of powers. Between his first book, Constitutional Government, in 1884, and his second book, Constitutional Government in the United States, in 1908, Wilson shifted his position on important structural features of the constitutional system. The first changed Wilson did in Constitutional Government, was to define the term “constitution” which he ignored in his first book. Second, Wilson focused his study on the presidential power defined by the constitution and third he also realized that external forces are now shaping American politics more than the intentions of the founders.
Some quantities of the company’s products find their way to unapproved outlets or distribution channels. This gray market for Callaway’s products can undermine authorized retailers and foreign wholesale distributors who promote and support the company’s products and can negatively impact its image in the minds of its customers. On the other hand, stopping such sales could result in a potential decrease in sales to those customers who are selling Callaway products to unauthorized distributors and/or an increase in sales returns over historical levels.
This department is a major contributor to Hasbro’s business strategy. As the company enters into third party agreements for the production of raw materials such as cardboard, paper, plastic, and chemicals, the company is exposed to changes in prices. In this situation, negotiations have a major role in determining the cost of materials, having a direct relationship with the profits of the company. Currently, all of the third party vendors for Hasbro are located in China, as they give the lowest cost of production and contribute to giving value to the co...
This threat is especially high when The buying industry has a higher profitability than the supplying industry. Forward integration provides economies of scale for the supplier. The buying industry hinders the supplying industry in their development (e.g. reluctance to accept new releases of products). The buying industry has low barriers to entry. In such situations, the buying industry often faces high pressure on margins from their suppliers.

Summarise and discuss the main contributions of Habermas’s theory of communicative action. As a critical theorist of the rationalist standpoint, Habermas disagreed with the epistemological perspective of rationality portrayed by the positivist school of thought and the concept of modernity which stemmed from Capitalism. Jürgen Habermas’s Theory of Communicative Action (TCA) incorporates Marx’s paradigm whilst also building upon the well known classical theorists and philosophers of social sciences such as Parsons, Weber, Mead and Durkheim (cited in Eriksen and Weigard, 2003). This essay will summarise and discuss the main contributions of Habermas’s TCA, using examples throughout to illustrate his concepts.
