In the pursuit of personal development, people's mindsets play a vital role in creating their path to becoming successful. This mindset is called a growth mindset, which is determination, consistency, and the willingness to learn from your mistakes and face challenges. Though a growth mindset is ideal, you might have something called a fixed mindset which is a mindset that holds people back from reaching their goals, these people tend to become unsuccessful. They are connected by axons in a network that transmit electrical and chemical signals. One neuron can be connected to 10,000 other neurons. When you use your senses, think, move, signals travel through this network. Brain research found that when we learn, we gain new connections and even strengthen old connections between neurons. The unused connections are then destroyed. Learning is like a workout for your brain. The more you work it out, the smarter you get and the stronger your network of neuron connections becomes. In easy terms; when we learn, why strengthen the signals between neurons, your brain is like a muscle but instead it strengthens when you learn, that is why it is important to keep and maintain a growth mindset when facing challenges, failures, and criticism. Fixed mindset might cause things such as anxiety, defensiveness, or sometimes even jealousy. The key to turning from a fixed mindset into a growth mindset is to view obstacles and setbacks as opportunities for learning, pushing yourself to take chances, and being open and able to take feedback. A growth mindset is needed for development. When individuals have a fixed mindset, they think their qualities and abilities are fixed, this is a crucial part of how they see themselves and their self-worth.
