Title Imagine it's graduation night, your final days of high school, and you are prepared for your one-year vacation off of school. A year passes and you are preparing for your extended education, little did you know you have stopped the velocity of your learning that you once had, all ruined by a year break. In the articles “Employment or Education”, “Choosing the Advantage”, and “Today’s College Student” give great examples of why students who are planning on going to college after high school should go straight into college and concern about their career after college.
Going to college will help one further their knowledge and become a more responsible and well-rounded person. Henry A. Pratt, writer of “Employment and Economy”, states “Some scholars suggest that these classes contribute to the well-roundedness a successful student contain.” This demonstrates that college scholars believe that college will definitely help one maintain themselves and live a better life. In the article, “College and Economy”, Bryan Markez states, “Choosing a career over college can cost a person about a half a million dollars over the course of one's lifetime.” This proves that going to college will definitely help financially. Markez also claims, “Those who choose not to earn a degree face a 20 percent higher unemployment rate.” This shows that a person with a degree faces a 20 percent more likely chance of getting a job. Therefore going to college will definitely have advantages. The ideal plan for going to college to me is to go to a community college for two years right after highschool then transfer out to a uc or a university.
