Going into hiding can be very difficult. It could cause harm or worse to you or your family. The first thing I would do if I and my family had to go into hiding is to prepare. First off, I would devise a plan. I would set up were we would go, what supplies we would need, how long we would be staying in said place and how we would ration our supplies. When making a plan, you need to be smart about it. You have to know if it is going to work or not. If you’re in danger you need to ne in the right mind if you want to keep you and your family safe. I’d also make sure that the place me and my family are going to be hiding out in is safe. I’d make sure that all doors have locks on them; I would make sure that the windows would be covered and locked
but while doing so you must not let your location be known. To be a
I. Intro. - Imagine you are sitting home one night with nothing to do. Your parents have gone away for the weekend and there is absolutely no one around. So you sit around that night watching TV for awhile but find nothing on worth watching. You go on upstairs to your room and get ready for bed. Turn off the lights, lay down, and close your eyes. All of a sudden you here a crash of glass in your kitchen. You rush to your feet and put your ear to the door listening to what’s going on downstairs. You begin to hear the voice of two men as they start going through the living room, making their way to the stairs, right outside your room. What do you do? You aren’t going to confront them since its just you—remember you thought you heard two of them right? Well you are really stuck in your room and all you can do is sit there hoping that they leave soon and don’t harm you. Now if it were at my house things would be a little bit different. For starters I would get out my shotgun from my closet and begin to see what is gin on down stairs.
A possible flaw of Sarbanes-Oxley is it failed to put up any resistance in thwarting the financial crisis. While the degree to which fraudulent behavior can be traced to the roots of the Great Panic of 2007 will likely be up for eternal debate, it might be telling that Sarbanes-Oxley effectively did nothing. It seems this could indicate that stronger incentives for whistleblowers (such as Dodd-Frank and perhaps other whistleblower protection regimes) are very necessary given the extreme social costs. This conclusion may be hasty, however, given the short time period between the enactment of Sarbanes-Oxley and the crash. Not only is the status of Sarbanes-Oxley still in flux over a decade later, but one has to consider the substantial learning and switching costs associated with a regime with such a substantial ruach. Certainly, this is not to say that additional protections may in fact be necessary given the putative reluctance of lawyers to report fraud, but Sarbanes-Oxley likely needed more time to really crystalize and provide some level of predictability before it can be declared a bust.
It has finally happened, one of the most dreadful days of my life. My sister and I have both been seized by two men and a woman. They climbed right over our wall and took us before we could even begin to understand what was happening. They think they are so smart but they have no idea that I have been tracking the way they walk. I have been watching the way the sun rises and sets to know how to find my way home. My sister is so scared; it is extremely hard to calm her down when I myself am terrified about the outcome here. I am hiding this diary in hopes that I may put information on how to escape and return to my hometown.
For example, a family of 8 escaped to a cave in Ukraine around October 1942 (Arkell). This family, the Stermers, hid in a cave with five other Jewish families, 38 total people (Arkell). The mother, Esther, the father, Zaida, two of the brothers, Sam and Saul, and two more waited for 18 months in this cramped space (Arkell). They probably didn’t have to be quiet since they were in a cave away from civilization, but I wonder if they were scared of people roaming around. An SS officer came and invaded the cave, but after they had a little talk with Esther, they left and never came back (Arkell). She said, "What are you afraid of here? The Fuhrer is gonna lose the war because we live here? “(Arkell). At the end of the hard year and a half, the Russians liberated their Ukrainian town and they were saved (Arkell). There is a movie that came out that explains all the hardships that they suffered (Arkell).
Smokescreen is an “adrenaline-pumping adventure” by Nancy Hartry where nothing is as it seems. It consists of four parts which includes twenty-seven chapters and is two hundred and two pages long. It has been long debated whether genetics or the environment in which one is raised impacts human psychological development the most. In Never Let Me Go, Kazuo Ishiguro shows that nurture cannot overcome one’s hereditary inclinations. Ishiguro exploits a world where human nature powerfully contradicts nurturing. He shows us that people, no matter how they were created or how they were raised, desire to be loved and accepted and need to know where they came from and what their future possibilities are.

... in. I grabbed my shotgun, opened the door and told them "there's nothing here worth dying for", they then apologized and ran away. I don't know what would of happened if I didn't have a firearm, but I can say refuse to be a victim.
Rescuers, by hiding victims in attics or by helping them to escape to other countries
Every single day there are crimes committed across the country, and every single day courts convene to determine who was the guilt or innocence of the people involved with the crimes. Courts require evidence and testimonies to convict an individual of a crime. The American Justice System is normally a successful system however; there are times when the system has difficulties operating to its fullest. Many of these difficulties occur when courts interact with media, specifically journalists. The court can often use information released by journalists as evidence; however, for the information to be usable a journalist must confess his or her sources. Yet, many journalists will not divulge their sources, creating difficulties for the court and in many cases, this kind of refusal of revealing sources can land a journalist in jail for contempt.
I have to do what I need to survive. I am technically kicked out of my host family's house on the weekends since they want nothing to do with me. They are just required to give me shelter while I am there because that is what they signed up for. While I am “sleeping” I will sneak into the parent's room and reclaim my stolen belongings, since they are my private property. I will then get food with my money, and then I will find a way to charge my phone to contact my friend and get me the heck out of here. I actually have a plan, and it is going well.
When you have a family, or even friends you call family, you feel as if it is your duty to protect them no matter what right? Well, what if you couldn’t protect them even if you wanted to? That feeling of security and peace of mind is taken and there isn’t a thing in the world you can do.
After the initial shock and anger. I would collect my thoughts and try to keep calm. Maybe take a hot shower, and drink some tea. I would not want to do anything while emotionally stressed. Knowing that part of freedom of
