As state by John Green in his video entitled Globalization I - The Upside: Crash Course World History #41, Globalization is a social phenomenon and it tends to be the process where different cultures, societies and regional economies integrate though a worldwide network of political ideas through transportation, communication and trade. Many nations have had a negative impact from globalization in quite a few ways, including, economically, politically and socially. Ecological issues are a problem because of the unsafe water and poor sanitation. In developing countries they tend to have poorly designed irrigations, horrible water systems and air pollution due to low environmental regulations. Economic and trade is affected because developing countries and developed countries have to depend on another country. Developed countries tend to depend heavily on developing countries for goods like raw materials, food and oils. Although educations in developing countries seem to be increasing, health seems to be decreasing. In developing countries the health seems to be decreasing, maybe due to an increase in trade and travel which opens a gateway for the spread of new diseases, and the air pollution causes certain sicknesses and diseases. According to World Bank, the Aids crisis in Africa has reduced the life expectancy to less than 33 years old. Skilled workers in developing countries migrate to developed countries because of better opportunities and higher wages. Businesses in developing countries are affected by globalization because capital flow increases and that put a risk on banking and currency crisis and transnational corporations dominate global commerce. In developing countries children are sometimes forced to take over and complete activities that adults usually do in their household, and sometimes the types of work that require parents may change forcing children to take those
Our global world is being more connected as we become integrated politically, socially and even economically. Due to the Bretton woods agreement, different countries have been economically dependent on each other in fear for war to erupt. From then on different organizations and policies tied more countries into being economic globalized. This economic globalization had then given us many opportunities in trades and more access to natural resources in other countries. Unfortunately, there are some negative effects that are brought to less developed country. Overall, many people believe that economic globalization does a great work on accumulating our economy and our quality of life.
