How Globalization helps to mitigate the negative impact on World environment:
The relationship between Globalization and Environment is too complex to sum up in a single judgment whether “good” or “bad.” In many respects, global trade and investment operate like other sources of economic growth. On the contrary more technical or industrialization can badly impact the environment. It greatly depends on technology that is used for production rather than the intensity.

Globalization creates a platform for competition for all of the countries in the world. UN organizations have given more importance to Environment especially in sustainable development. Our natural resources fossils fuels are limited but day by day the usage of these resources increases. As a result we are now a part of the world that is now in a vulnerable situation. Environmental problems are no more confined to the country that is responsible for it, rather it is an Global issue. There are several UN organizations as well as some international regional organizations who work for environmental protection. This is also an example of globalization that developed as well as developing countries come together to find out a solution for a global problem.

The United Nations Environment Programme (UN Environment) is an agency of United Nations and coordinates its environmental activities, assisting developing countries in implementing environmentally sound policies and practices. Maurice Strong was the first director of UNEP and It has its has its head quarter in Nairobi and also has six regional offices.
