Global Warming – Myth or Reality

The topic on global warming has been politicized widely. As a result of this, whether global warming is really a myth or a reality depends largely on where you are standing in regards to your opinion. Reasoning has been and still remains to be the born of contention in global warming debates because computerized systems and models plus other technologies have been of dismal help in giving a conclusive solution to these debates. The great rift has been established between scientists and other social thinkers. Irrespective of which side anybody argues from, the end result is that the world today is experiencing global warming and anybody refuting this is only taking the politics of this issue into another level. Scientists are of the opinion that matters of global warming cannot be based on mere consensus. In addition to this, they also claim that up to date, there has been no single experiment that can solidly claim that the effect of global warming is actually taking place. To that extend, their allegations remains very true because even the existing computerized models and patterns have greatly differed from what is actually happening. For example, in establishing the temperature changes, you find that the experiments carried out have no sufficiency demanded by basic rules of science. Naturally the world temperature is greatly influenced by ocean currents. Despite of this fact, nearly 90% of all the temperature measuring equipment is placed on dry lands. This result to the question of how helpful is such information because according to science the actual thing has not been measured. The difficulty existing in measuring temperatures in ocean currents has not been well accomplished and thus according to the scientists’ argument ... ... middle of paper ... ...re experiencing new weather conditions. In conclusion, global warming is a reality, which cannot be refuted in anyway. The evidence supporting this is more than anyone would want. The major contributing factor into the global warming has been emission of green house gases mainly carbon dioxide. Therefore, irrespective of whether there is concrete scientific evidence or whether it is through consensus, effects of global warming remain true and the effects are gradually taking new shape each day. The current technology may not be sufficient to give empirical credentials to the reality of global warming, as the scientists may want, but this is not in any way going to change the reality of global warming because the effects are being formed. In days to come, advancement in technology will only come in to confirm the realness of global warming and not vice versa.
