Globalization is a term referring to the world’s rapid changes toward a more connected inter-woven world society. There are critics and supporters of the phenomena. Deep within the world-wide structure there are individuals and institutions that are helping to usher in a global culture. These certain elements deem it necessary to carefully re-direct the focus of the nations of the world away from the nation-state and toward a more integrated federalist view with countries yielding power to a global institution.

Globalization is typically associated with changing trends in the cultural and economic components of world societies. Interestingly, the international movement toward global partnership envelopes much more than that. Lets further explore some of the points of views on the quick paced globalization that is being experienced today.

Economical integration has been on the fast track more than any other aspect of society. The World Trade Organization has tenaciously spread the economic theory that regional integration is the key to economic success. Based on that assumption, world trade agreements have been signed the world over, and new political entities have come out of that as well, such as the European Union. (Luthans)

In the religious edge of the matter we can deduce some thought from the Catholic Pope’s hopes for globalization. In a Christmas mass speech in 2005 he urged his congregation to “let the Child of Bethlehem take you by the hand! Do not fear; put your trust in him! The life-giving power of his light is an incentive for building a new world order based on just ethical and economic relationships. May his love guide every people on earth and strengthen their common consciousness of being a "family" ...
