Community service is the process of volunteering and giving back to the community when the community provides for its people. As volunteers, we do not receive money or gifts as a payment for the favors we do. Instead, we feed on the joy of helping someone have same happiness we experience. I think of community service's effects as a cycle. The community provides many tools for the people to use, such as public schools, recreational activities, city maintenance services, and safety.
