In life we as people always expect the gift. We want to receive, but we never have something to give. Giving back is important to me. Giving back is taking my own time to help the people who are in desperate need. The concept of giving back has saved many families in this country, even around the world. A reason I give back is to put a smile on another person’s face. Making someone else smile is great inside feeling and has a positive effect. Not only does it have a positive effect on the community, it also have a positive effect on myself. People constantly ask me “Why would you give away your hard earned money?” My perpetual response would be, “It is not about spending my ‘valuable’ and ‘precious’ time around the homeless people in a shelter, or donating all of my hard earned money to the less fortunate. It is all about making a difference in my community, my life, and possibly around the whole world.” …show more content…

Let’s not take the wrong perception here. I am not a person who have made this a living but I do understand why it is important to give back to my community. The things I do to give back is the little things, like donating my old clothes and shoes to the homeless shelters and even given the homeless man of my neighborhood food to eat. I always say giving something little could always make someone have a better day. Giving back to the community is a chance to make a difference. Making a difference is standing out from the rest, doing things creatively, things no one else would think of difference. It’s the joy and love that we extend to others that brings true happiness or union with God. When we give, we reap the joy of seeing a bright smile, laughter, tears of joy and gratitude for life. We know that if people give just a little more—of their time, skills, knowledge, wisdom, compassion, wealth and love—the world would be a more peaceful and healthier
