Have you ever wondered if you can talk to your spirits and see your past, present, and future? Around 1980 there was a man who had the same thoughts as a curious fellow of now age, trying to figure out a way that someone will be able to show and make able to see all three states of your life. Then he made the novel A Christmas Carol, by Charles Dickens that allow three ghosts be portrayed and defined from least to greatest are; the ghost of Christmas past, present, and yet to come.

This is because many believe, if not most people are deathly afraid of death and forever will be since it is a touching subject and no one can live past it “yet”. The last ghost shows Scrooge a dead man in a bed and no one knows he is dead since it is referring back that Scrooge is the dead man and no one would help his body or notice he passed away. “Spirit! This is a fearful place. In leaving it, I shall not leave its lesson, trust me. Let us go!”(Dickens 105). The ghost yet to happen shows Mr. Ebenezer Scrooge a gravestone with his name on it and the ghost can not speak due it represents once you are dead you can not talk and that you will be non-existent in the world scrooge said,” he is not the man he used to be, begged for another chance”(Dickens 114). This specific instance in the novel changes the way Scrooge sees himself and now understands fully the things in life to live for and the right things to do to become a better person. When all said and done scrooge wakes up with no harm of any ghost to find himself a changed man and alive. After the day of Christmas, Bob Cratchit gets into work slightly late that morning and scrooge pretend to be totally mad and upset at Mr. Cratchit and ends up giving him a raise so he can provide for his family and also Scrooge got a surprise turkey for their dinner.
