Morgan showed great passion by showing in the text that he loved to help people, and he expressed this by building and inventing machines and objects that created a safer environment for people all around the world. No doubt Garrett Morgan also had a great amount of curiosity in his mind. His curiosity since his youth had helped him grow into a very intelligent person, which influenced him in how well his inventions worked, and how complex they were. Of course, Morgan’s success would also not have been possible without his perceptiveness. J.P. Morgan was born in 1837, and similar to many of his peer contemporaries, he was born into a family rich in legacy. Both the Pierpont and the Morgan family had notable ancestry dating back to early British colonization in North America. Importantly, Pierpont's father, Junius Spencer, commonly referred to as the senior Morgan until his death late in 1890, was well established on both sides of the Atlantic. Spending much of his elder years abroad, Junius was the primary figure throughout Pierpont's life. For every matter, business, political, or private, Junius counseled Pierpont wit...
Despite conflicting opinion on his persona, his influence and character shaped the business world more so than any other person at the turn of the century. Morgan was “a banker, railroad czar, industrialist, financier, philanthropist, yachtsman, and ladies' man” (Jones). He was an industrial genius that is accredited with the founding of many companies including General Electric and AT&T. However, Morgan is looked upon as “a saint and demon the same” (Arvedlund). He received a honorary degree from Harvard university that read: Public citizen, patron of literature and art, prince among merchants, who by his skill, wisdom and courage, has twice in times of stress repelled a national danger of financial panic.

Just as Graham rejected his father, or God, Morgan rejected Graham in the sense that Morgan no longer cared for his father. But, as there was a plan set in motion by God, Morgan was one of the signs that Graham had to see in order to save his family. His asthma saved his life and allowed Graham to finally come to terms and see the big picture that a higher power put out for him. Before the fight with the alien, Morgan suffered an asthma attack and his lungs gave out as Graham tried talking him through it. Morgan barely hung on as his lungs closed and he fainted. During this time, the moment of Morgan’s creation arrived. The alien that had Morgan used a deadly poison gas that would have killed him, had his asthma not closed his lungs, saving his life. This is another sign that Graham had to put his faith into, another sign he had to

A question has arisen concerning the inspirations and design of the London Devonshire House in the early 18th century. In October of 1733, a minor tragedy struck the site of the Old Devonshire House in London as an accidental fire caused the building to be completely destroyed while in the process of refurbishment. As a result, William Cavendish, 3rd Duke of Devonshire, had to find an architect to create a home matching his style and the tastes of the time. [1] The Devonshire House, designed by the Palladian architect William Kent, polarized opinions of historical art critics and architects throughout the two centuries it stood. However, it cannot be denied the imposing façade impacted London architecture for centuries to come.
