The importance of this announcement shows that if frogs go extinct the human population would be overpopulated with insects. This ad caught my attention from how it appears. The ad shows a lady doing a simple task as reading her book in the tub relaxing, with a facial on and candles lit around her, she has zero expression to the millions of insects surrounding her entire background; the insects overpower the ad with increased size and boldness. It is as if she is already use to the fact of frogs being extinct and the repercussions of that. The slogan on the psa says “IF FROGS GO EXTINCT, YOU’LL NOTICE.” The psa has a follow up to where the viewer can find more information or contribute to the

PSA. Also the creators behind this PSA are knowledgeable enough to shows. “Frogs today are threatened with extinction. The Vancouver Aquarium has joined forces with zoos and aquariums around the world to try and stop hundreds of species from vanishing forever in a global effort called Amphibian Ark (AArk). AArk’s goal is to raise awareness about amphibian vulnerability and rescue at least 500 of the most threatened species. These species will be protected and bred in secure facilities at zoos and aquariums until the animals can one day be released back into nature. This was posted on 2015 Vancouver Aquarium by Chris Allion. …show more content…
They face the most significant mass extinction since the dinosaurs. The main reason they will disappear is because we will choose to allow it. You can be one of the people who stops it.” (2) This was found on the Amphibian Ark by Andy Harrison. This shows how the follow up on the PSA specifically makes the viewer feel some sort of guilt by saying “The main reason they will disappear is because we will choose to allow it. You can be one of the people who stops it.” This helps put the viewer in a mindset of wanting to help by implying that we are choosing to allow it. This shows a way of how persuasion and guilt as an emotion can make viewers see that PSA the way it was intended
This advertisement from the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (ASPCA) immediately affects the viewer’s emotions. By playing sad music in the background while images of scared and injured animals pass the screen, the creators of this advertisement are successful in compelling many viewers to open up their wallets and donate to the cause. Through the use of common rhetorical devices as well as less obvious strategies, this advertisement targets the viewer’s mind and succeeds in its goal of presenting the topic as a problem that needs to be solved. However, it is interesting to consider whether the problem that should be addressed is really animal neglect or something bigger, like the fact that many citizens prioritize
The Gray Tree Frog can be found anywhere ranging from southern Ontario in Canada to the southern coast in the United States. Usually it is not found west of Texas or Manitoba, Canada. The can be found at Rice Creek Field Station. The best habitat is shallow water situated close to diverse stands of willows, oaks, and pines (Craighead, 2004, p. 2). The location of water and plenty of vegetation, which not only shades the forest but also covers the ground with broken brushwood, is what needed for the frog’s ultimate survival is.
The eradication of species numbers average at a toll close to one hundred percent of earths total living creatures. “It is the Earth's most severe known extinction event, with up to 96% of all marine species and 70% of terrestrial vertebrate species becoming extinct” (Sahney, and Benton 759). Not only where marine and terrestrial species effected but this catastrophic event is the only recogni...
They are highly intelligent, territorial, and will live up to years in captivity. That's 40 years of diapers in case you didn't realize they don't learn to use the toilet.
Long-term survival of a species depends on its ability to adapt to changing environmental conditions (Murphy, 1994). Genetic diversity within a species, which has taken 3.5 billion years to evolve, makes adaptations to these changing environments possible. Unfortunately, the rate of extinction of genetically diverse organisms is rapidly increasing, thus reducing this needed biodiversity, largely due to the human impacts of development and expansion. What was an average of one extinction per year before is now one extinction per hour and extinct species numbers are expected to reach approximately one million by the year 2000 (WWW site, Bio 65). As a result governmental and societal action must be taken immediately!

This is where her emotional appeal comes into play. If humanity understood that they were destroying their homes and themselves, they wouldn’t continue with these damaging tendencies. The idea that an entire species of insects can be eradicated without any detriment to the environment is an ignorant point of view. She says perhaps the public doesn’t know what is happening
Her audience is anyone who cares about the world we live in and its long term health. “The world we live in” is a vast category, which includes our entire ecosystem as well as animals and humans. The essay also targets producers and users of chemicals and pesticides used for insect and pest control. In “The Obli...
The American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals® (ASPCA) primary goal is to save all animals from cruelty related situations, provide them with medical care and food, help find a loving home for every animal and fight for more laws to be made in order to prevent animal cruelty. The ASPCA uses different ads to try and get people to donate towards this cause. Their Ads are both effective and ineffective in persuading people to donate because it relies heavily on the emotion of guilt. Among these tactics the most common themes are the typical sad, dying dog, the “only 60 cents a day” guilt trip and the overall organization, which serve the purpose of making the audience feel liable for the well being of animals.
Frogs are needed for everyday life. They are part of pond life. Each animal is important because even in the pond, there is a food chain. Frogs are amphibians, animals that spend half of their lives under water, and remainder on land. The first frog appeared in the early Jurassic period about 200 million years ago.

Any species which fall into the categories vulnerable, endangered, or critically endangered are considered to be at risk of extinction. Robert Redford said “I think the environment should be put in the category of our national security defense of our resource’s because it’s just as important as defense abroad otherwise what is there to defend?” People should all take the environment more seriously and protect the future for those to come. It’s our responsibility to ensure that the children to come may enjoy all of earth’s beauty, and not through old issues of National Geographic’s.
Zoos introduces captive-bred projects to take care of some animals for years and reintroduce them back to the wild. However, captive animals usually lose their survival skills in wild after under an absolute protection for a long time, especially those who are used to learning from their parents. They no longer able to escape from predators or track preys. Reintroduction often needs to be abandoned permanently.
Many scientists were fascinated by the creatures that seemed to disappear from the forests of Queensland every year and during this time were thought to be hibernating. Although before they had a chance to study them in further detail the frogs became extinct.
