The sad story Romeo and Juliet, where both Romeo and Juliet die is at the hands of Friar Lawrence. He is to blame for a variety of reasons,such as the fact that he marries them, makes the plan to fake juliets death, and leaves Juliet all by herself in a tomb of dead bodies , distraught and still mentally recovers from all the prior events. Friar lawrence lays the foundation for such a tragedy. Firstly, the fact that the Friar marries them both, is the first of many mistakes. “Thy love did read by rote, that could not spell. But come, young waverer, come, go with me, In one respect I’ll thy assistant be, for this alliance may so happy prove to turn your households' rancor to pure love.”(11.111.88-92). Simply put, he believes the marriage of Romeo and Juliet will help fix the family feud between the Montagues and Capulets, without even really thinking about the consequences of the marriage, which leads to the next point.
