Freshman year for me was not the easiest. New school and new people, a whole new beginning. I was always a very shy person so it was pretty hard to get used to it and then it all went downhill. My absences went from not that bad to extremely bad in a matter of weeks. It was extremely hard to catch up in all my classes and my grades reflected that. If that was not bad enough a few months later my mom got extremely sick. This was a problem for my academic life because I kept on missing school to take care of her since there was no one else to do it. The school did understand my situation but their main problem was that I was not in school and not doing my work. I failed both semesters 1 and 2 and had a meeting regarding this situation. I was
I had a good year in first grade. I became the best artist in the class. I started getting better at English. My first word was “bathroom.” I made two friends Michelle Sherman and Karen Calle. After that I started feeling better and actually liking this school. Everything felt better and worked out great!
This is my first semester in college and it its completely different than high school in many ways in my opinion. I think that college is going to be a challenge, so I hope i 'm prepared for what 's about to come. The difference between highschool and college is vast. The main ones I have experienced are greater expenses, independence, and overall seriousness of the education.
I was told that this, my junior year, would be the easiest year of my high school career. And no, they were absolutely wrong. It was not just school and grades that I was concern about either. I had other things to worry about, things like, driving, clubs, friends and family. I however had no idea that it would be this difficult. Throughout this school year I have learned many things; like the value of sleep, whose really your friend, and that although very important, grades are not everything.
When I was young they used to ask me what I wanted to be when I grew up, and until six years ago I never knew. It took me exactly eleven years until I figured out the one thing I wanted to do with my life. The very first show I performed in was Guys and Dolls, and from then on my devotion to acting only grew. I feel as though the Early Middle College Program is a good opportunity to further myself in my future goal of a Master’s Degree in Musical Theatre, as well as saving money while doing so. The Early Middle College Program is a very large stepping stone on my way to a Master’s Degree, and is the most effective way to get where I want to be.
The first day of my senior year was an emotional rollercoaster. Knowing that in just
Walkinging into high school on my first day was like entering a new country for the first time. Unlike all the other kids around me I was super calm and a little too excited. Instead of sweaty palms I had shaking arms because I couldn't wait to meet new people and make new friends. That was always my personality so I think I had it much easier than the other kids.
In seventh grade I got really good grades and I made gold honor roll. During seventh grade someone stole everything in my locker. 8th grade was very hard I got kind of good grades. The first day of high school I was very nervous.
The first day of anything is always the hardest part. That is why I knew the first day of college would be no picnic. No amount of notebooks, pens or sticky notes, could prepare me for the new atmosphere I was about to face. I had to get used to a whole new set of classrooms, students and instructors. That was the only thing I dreaded. I knew after the first few days I would get used to everything. I had dual enrolled the year before, so I was slightly familiar with my new surroundings. Even though I would now be a full time college student, I still had my worries. My first day as a college freshman was very stressful because there were so many things I had yet to discover at sc4.
Going away to college was very hard for me. I had never been away at camp before, so going away to college was the first time I would be leaving home for more then just a night for a sleep over. I still remember that the first night at my dorm I cried for hours and contemplated calling my parents at two in the morning and telling them I made a terrible mistake and I wanted to come home. For some reason, that as I senior I still do not know myself, I stayed but was miserable my freshmen year. I went home every weekend, and hated school because I was not making friends and it was like déjà vu with my freshmen year of high school. I also did not have a great relationship with my roommates, which did not help. I lived in seminary so it was three girls, and since my roommates were so close I was the odd ball out which is never fun.
What kind of college should a student go? Is college even necessary to go? These are the questions I should be considering while I think about my future. It seemed like that the time to decide the future plan was in the far future. However, time to think about my detailed future plans have now arrived. After I read many articles and do many research, I think going to 4 year college or university would fit best for me.
Freshmen year I was very optimistic, but also very nervous since I was now transforming from being middle school to high school. Keeping an open minded to it, I had sadly ran into my first problem. Usually with a problem there is always a resolution to make things better,
I can’t begin to describe the way I felt that year, the heart wrenching, gut tying pain I went through. People say transitioning into high school is hard, but not for all, it just depends on who you are. No one told me how potentially hard it actually would be, I found out for myself and it was the worst discovery I have ever come across. I joined the high school gymnastics team and I loved it, there was so much to enjoy and the people were great, the upperclassman set the bar so high.
middle school came around, and I hated it. Sixth grade was my worst year. I was brand new, I
Mainly, that year I had to accept the fact that I could no longer succeed in school and slack off, too. I was all out of sorts. I never had to work hard; school just came naturally to me. So of course, when fifth grade launched a mass of assignments right at my face, all with due dates layered over one another, I, the avid procrastinator, slowly started to drown. For the very first time in my whole school career, I got a B in a subject; I remember crying my eyes out.
Most freshmen like me that enter the school are scared. I think the first week of the school is the easiest since there would not be a lot of homework and what you need to do is to listen to what you need for the class and know other people well in the class. But I am wrong, as soon as you get seated on your assigned seat, new teachers start to introduce themselves and start giving tons of homework. As the bell rings, I start rushing to my next class hoping that I wouldn’t be late. The first day of school is always the hardest since you don’t have any new friends and you have to sit in the cafeteria alone when it is lunch time. As day starting to go by, I found myself getting earlier and earlier to class. Talking starts to increas...
