French Essay
Bonjour!
In Part I, Meursault is spending the night next to his mother's coffin at a sort of pre-funeral vigil. With him are several old people who were friends of his mother at the home in which she had been living at the time of her death. Meursault has the strange feeling that he can see all of their faces really clearly, that he can observe every detail of their clothing and that they will be indelibly impr...
Meursault is a man who chooses to observe people, rather than interact with them. He often people watches from his balcony in the evening, than actually going down to communicate with them. While he was in exile, he was forced to converse and discuss his feeling to strangers like his lawyer, and the chaplain of the prison. Due to being a severe introvert, the idea of discussing his problem to another person was foreign for him. The experience of opening himself up to others for help was alienating, and contradicted his personality of being a stranger to everyone. Camus writes, “He didn’t understand me, and he was sort of holding it against me. I felt the urge to reassure him that I was like everybody else, just like everybody else.” (Camus, 66) Meursault wanted to help his lawyer understand his point of view, but his nature is so closed off that he’s unable to put his feeling into words for others
In many works of literature a character conquers great obstacles to achieve a worthy goal. Sometimes the obstacles are personal impediment, at other times it consists of the attitude and beliefs of others. In the book The Stranger by Albert Camus, shows the character Meursault who is an emotionless character that let’s other people show their opinions and emotions into him giving him a type of feeling even if Meursault doesn’t care. Meursault contains occasion of his emotional indifference between his friends and social indifference. This essay will be about the character’s struggle contributes to the meaning of the work as a whole.
" He goes on to mention that perhaps it was yesterday - he is not sure which. He cannot abide by the same moral confines as the rest of the world because he does not grasp them; he is largely indifferent to events occurring around him. Meursault's entire being is sensuous, yet unemotional. He derives a certain level of pleasure from eating and drinking, smoking cigarettes, sitting on his balcony watching passersby. He likes to wash his hands, especially at work in the morning, when the roller towel is dry.
What is island life? what do you think of island life? My opinion of island life is a a place were you do what you want to do and with you you want to do it with. The book Lord of the Flies by William Golding and movie Castaway (2000) is directed by Robert Zeneckis. He similarly explores what happens to mankind when left stranded on an island without civilisation, rules and order. In Lord of the Flies a group of boys are left to themselves after experiencing a plane crash, leaving them alone on an island. Golding shows that evil desires, the basis of human nature is revealed when left to oneself. In Castaway it different compared to Lord Of The Flies because in castaway there is only on person stuck on the island while golding has a dozen.Composer achieves their unique perspectives by exploring civilisation, characterisation and through the theme ‘survival’.
The Forum in Pompeii was the centre of the commercial and political life. In Pompeii, the forum was the centre of the political life because it contains the voting hall and the municipal offices, as well as market place including the vegetable market and the Macellum. The forum was also a very important place for religions as most of the temples such as the temple of Jupiter and Mars were built there. The people in Pompeii not only worshipped Greek gods, they also worship gods from foreign cults such as the cult of Isis and the cult of Sabaziums and also past emperor as one of their gods, they follow ritual such as the bull sacrifice depicts in the Temple of Genius Austusti at Pompeii. Priest hood is very important in the political life of Romans because they will become Public priest or prestress one day such as Maria and Emachia. The Forum was the centre of the political, social and economic life in Pompeii as their temples, market place and government offices were built there .
In America, it is becoming more difficult to achieve the American Dream. The American Dream is based on the idea that people can move higher up on the social scale, as long as they work hard work to accomplish their goal. The American Dream is also based on the belief that the social class you’re born into, is not the social class you have to stay in. In other words, everyone can move up in their lifetime if they work hard. However this is not true today, and people are not moving positively up the social class ladder. It has become a chain reaction of people with a college education vs. people without a college education. People with a college degree, or who have parents that have received a college degree, are significantly more likely to be in the upper class in America today, giving them an unfair advantage.

In Confessions, St. Augustine tells his life story as his passage from sin to conversion and redemption. Augustine’s sins start from infancy and continue throughout his journey to come closer to God, ending with his baptism and conversion to Catholicism. Augustine views sin as an act that happens in the absence of good, and he confesses his sins to show his readers the great forgiveness of God. St. Augustine’s life story presents his sins of the body, for sin’s sake, emotional and intellectual issues, and worldly success in Confessions as a road to conversion and he expresses his views on how his sins ultimately bring him closer to God.

French culture and society has evolved from many different aspects of French life. From the mastery of French cuisine to the meaning of French art, the French have changed and evolved in many ways to produce a specific modern culture, the dignified culture of the French. One thing that parallels the progress and continuation of French culture is the role of women throughout France. Compared to other nations, the role and rights of women in France were confronted earlier and Women’s suffrage was enacted earlier. The role of women in France, because of the early change in perception of women, enabled France to develop faster and with less conflict than other competing nations.
The Civil Procedure Rules recognised in Wales and England imposes a positive duty on the court to encourage parties to use an alternative dispute resolution (ADR) procedures if the court considers it appropriate, from the forgoing it could be inferred that achieving unbiased and objective dispute resolution is no longer the exclusive claim of the adversarial legal process as hitherto claimed by liberal societies. In addition, exact practices of adversarial legal system scarcely exist, since the daily life of court now involves routine departures from its original fundamental ideals. Nonetheless, growing evidence depict that mediated outcomes are more likely to be complied with than court decrees contrary to the position of pro adversarial advocates.
What types of food are commonly eaten in which parts of France? What influence have immigrants had on French Food? What influence has French Food had on the rest of the world? While the cultures of places impact the kinds of food that are common, the geography of the region is also a major influence. However, it is the second largest country in Europe.
