World war II was aA time of great stress and making decisions that would affect everyone. There were many leaders in world war II but three of them stand out among others Franklin D. Roosevelt, joseph stalin and winston churchill. Each leader had to make decisions that were not easy. Franklin D. Roosevelt was the president of the U.S during world war II.(biography.com) 5.he was born into a wealthy family.(franklin) he later ran for new york state senate.(biography.com) Lots of people liked Roosevelt. He was the only president to be elected 4 times. Many people mourned over his death.(history.com) Joseph Stalin was a general and later became leader of the soviet union.(roberts russell) After Vladimir Lenin died he rose to power. When he was young he liked politics but got engaged in criminal activities.(history.com) He was born into poverty but got involved in revolutionary politics. Stalin turned the peasant society into a military superpower. Even though he had a strong military he ruled with fear.(biography.com) He sent enemies to die or to labor camps. Joseph Stalin died on the 5th of march 1953 at the age of 74 after suffering a stroke. Stalin's body was in bombed and preserved in Lenin's mausoleum in Moscow's Red square in 1961 his body was removed and buried near the kremlin walls as part of the de-sanitation process Initiated by Stalin's successor.(history.com) Winston Churchill grew up in dublin ireland and his father was employed by his grandfather.(biography.com) He was born into a life of privilege but dedicated his life to public
