Roosevelt was basically born to lead our nation. His early life helped prepare him for what he was to face later on life.He did more than any other president when he first got into office.He also helped us through a world war. “He won election to the New York Senate in 1910.”In 1921 FDR was diagnosed with polio. After going through Physical therapy he became governor of New York in 1928. All these thing prepared him for what was to come during his presidency. During his first term he did a lot, he did everything he could to get our country out of the great depression. His efforts were not successful, but all that people cared about was that has was trying as hard as he could.In his first hundred days of office began by closing all banks until congress could pass a reform legislation. He also gave his famous fireside chats were he talked to the whole nation over the radio.
