The National Parks of Western Australia
We took an armchair tour of all the interesting things to see and do in and around Perth, Australia. It wouldn’t be right to move on if we also didn’t take a look at some of the great national parks in the area.
John Forrest National Park is one of Australia’s oldest conservation areas and is the first national park that opened in Western Australia. The park is located in the Darling Ranges just about a half an hour drive from Perth. Visitors to the park can enjoy bush walking, mountain biking, scenic drives and rock pools that are great for swimming.
Colonial pioneers knew the environmental value of this park and declared it a reserve in 1898. There is so much of wonder to see and explore like trails

The park is a sanctuary for many different plants and animals especially kangaroos. There is a shaded, grassy area that is popular for picnics. The park is located in a naturally beautiful clef at the foot of the scarp and stretches up the steep slopes of the Serpentine River valley, past a sheer face of granite polished smooth by rushing waters. Year of weathering have created distinct landscapes of lateritic uplands, minor and major valleys and abrupt scarps. The woodlands were hunted in and camped in by Nyoongar Aborigines of the Whadjuk and Bindjareb tribes long before the Europeans came. The Serpentine River provided them with fresh water, fish and other food sources such as tortoises, lizards and …show more content…
It is located just behind the Darling Scarp and stretches over both sides of a steep valley. To the east of the park, in the picturesque Avon Valley, the Avon River comes together with the Brockman River to form the Swan River then passing through the tree-lined valley. Walyunga has one of the largest known Aboriginal campsites around Perth and was still used by the Nyoongar late last century. The main attraction here is the Swan River, line by smooth granite boulders. This section of the river has rapids followed by deep pools and visitors are drawn by Syd’s Rapids, Walyunga Pool and Boongarup Pool. The valley floor is flooded at the river’s edge and farther up the slopes are wandoo woodlands. In the springtime colorful wildflowers put on quite a
Imagine a scenic, wild landscape with animals that roam freely, cascading waterfalls, and mountains that seem to scrape the pale blue sky. This is what one thinks when first hearing the name Yosemite National Park. Unfortunately, the reality is completely opposite. Yosemite is now under a federally regulated Class 1 area under the Clean Air Act, which is equivalent to the pollution of Los Angeles (“National Parks Service”). It is a sad comparison to the past John Muir, who first documented Yosemite Valley, to today’s reality. The condition of Yosemite National Park should be introduced to the American public in order to protect its historic beauty and significance, eliminate current pollution, and prevent future repercussions.
P5: ‘It would be more convenient for Australians to visit nearby natural locations compared to the parks in the gold coast, (para 2).
...National Park which 3875 km2 in area. It's a region of aspen parkland and boreal forest. It was established as a national park in 1927. Being a preserved and protected area, the park is very rich in wildlife including elk, caribou, moose, deer, lynx, otter, and plains bison. It also features the only protected White Pelican colony in Canada.
By placing this emphasis on beauty in the wilderness the American people expected to see a beautiful wilderness, although in reality these two are not mutually exclusive. Muir supported a form of natural improvement in which alterations to the natural world are made, but not with any economic value in mind. Interestingly, Muir suggests that our wildness is a commodity to which, we are glad to see how much of even the most destructible kind is still unspoiled”. (Muir) By the time the National Park Service was founded in 1916 the American people wanted to be entertained by, and in, nature
Grand Teton National Park is a United States National Park in northwestern Wyoming. It is approximately eight hundred and fifteen miles, or a thirteen hour and ten minute drive, from Boise City, Oklahoma. Grand Teton offers a multitude of attractions, some of which are located in a quaint town only five minutes from the national park. With its ski slopes and hot springs in the winter, and its scenic hiking trails through the pristine and natural beauty of the mountains, there is something for every member of the family year round. The landscape is magnificently beautiful with deep meadows filled with the vivid colors of the wild flowers, and tall crisp mountain ranges that reflect off the surface of the calm lakes. Golden eagles fly high in the blue sky, and buffalo roam in the tall green grass. Along with its beauty and serenity, Grand Teton National Park has a story worth fighting for.

In assessing Du Pont’s capital structure after the Conoco merger that significantly increased the company’s debt to equity ratio, an analyst must look at all benefits and drawbacks of a high debt ratio. The main reason why Du Pont ended up with a high debt to equity ratio after acquiring Conoco was due to the timing and price at which they bought Conoco. Du Pont ended up buying the firm at its peak, just before coal and oil prices started to fall and at a time when economic recession hurt the chemical industry of Du Pont. The additional response from analysts and Du Pont stockholders also forced Du Pont to think twice about their new expansion. The thought of bringing the debt ratio back to 25% was brought on by the fact that the company saw that high levels of capital spending were vital to the success of the firm and that high debt levels may put them at higher risk for defaulting.
Since its creation in 1916, the National Park Service (NPS) has had to balance between its two goals, which are to preserve wilderness and nature and to provide the public with access to these wonders in a monitored environment. These two goals tend to create a conflict for the NPS because as soon as one goal is given more priority than the other, the administration of national parks is harshly criticized by the public. The accusation that by allowing people to experience the wilderness, the NPS is corrupting the natural environment is very common, as well, as the criticism towards the lack of government funding to preserve nature and history. However, regardless of arguable criticism and a certain need for improvement, after one hundred years,

There were actually residents in this park and farming too, but now they’re gone and its area consist of mostly forest though it’s still healing from the farms. Cape Breton Highlands National Park is a beautiful place and should be respected.
National Parks have awed tourists and even locals for years. They provide an escape from the ordinary and relief from the everyday stress of society. National Parks provide insight into a simpler time where our ancestors were surrounded by the beauty of nature instead of the concrete jungles of modern day metropolitan areas. Few of these wonderful parks provide the same seclusion as Denali National Park in Alaska. It’s sights and sounds have fascinated many and will continue to provide a great escape from everyday life.

Not only is the park filled with trees, it is full of ancient history. The park was established in 1934 but it was not an easy process. Since is it located in a prime location in the Appalachian, many people fought against the creation of the National Park (“Great Smoky”). Many small farmers and few timber and paper companies who did not want to give up their shares owned the land. Since it is such a large area, they did not want to give up the lumber opportunities that came fr...

A State Forest & nbsp; Last autumn, while on a trip, I decided to walk through a State Forest. This huge forest enriches the countryside not far from town and was a place where Indians held hunting rights until recently. Little streams, ancient trees, shaded paths, and hidden places are some of the physical attributes that make the State Forest an enchanting place. & nbsp; I wandered leisurely along the shadowy paths, enjoying the peaceful surroundings. With only the songs of birds for company, I felt completely isolated from the crowds and traffic as I walked over the deep carpet of leaves. It had begun to rain a little when I first started my journey.
