Many parents and athletes are become concerned about what possible injuries they may encounter. For parents the main concern is the safety of their child and which sports to avoid, athletes are more so concerned with how to avoid injuries while continuing to play the sports they love. Well studies have been taken to answer many of the frequently asked questions by parents and athletes about sports and injury prevention. Many researchers, scientist, and doctors have come together to find the answers to why their is an increase in sports injuries amongst children. Many parents believe football to be the most dangerous sport, well football is very dangerous but it is not the number one cause for injuries. Because football is a high impact sport injuries can be a lot more serious than injuries caused by other sports. Basketball is also a contact sport like football, which is believed to be the most dangerous sport, yet football results in less reported injuries than basketball.
