Do you participate in extracurricular activities in high school? Lots of activities help students to grow into an adult and get ready for the real world. Activities, such as football, are a great way to work as a team and grind for a common goal. To work hard everyday to get what you want and to strive for greatness. Football improves student's physical body, their mental toughness, and the ability to work with a team to reach a goal. Football is a sport and sports get your body in shape. Many kids don’t get enough exercise throughout the day and have health issues. With a sport like football, you need to have your body in great shape to play. Working out in the gym or running sprints for cardio, are large factors in getting healthy. Doing all these exercises and training, effects everyday lifestyle and mood. Having done cardio, your heart is staying healthy and you’re getting exercise. Also, being hydrated for this sport is necessary. By drinking a lot of water, your body will be able to function more efficiently and getting the important nutrients needed. Your mind has to be focused and determined to get you through vigorous situations while on the field. Having great mental toughness can allow your body to do things you never thought you could do. A sport like football improves your mental state for not just on the field, but also in life. Therefore, by having the focus and mental toughness, you can get through situations in your life a lot easier. High school students especially, need that mental aspect to be focused in school and later in life to succeed the best they can.
